View Full Version : The New Yorker
So, for everybody including myself who thought Mossberg lost their collective minds:
I give you the New Yorker "6 + 1 rounds of tacticool goodness!"

See, they really did know what they were doing!
I always thought, except for the stock it's pretty cool.
5 + 1
...and it's hideous.

Do not want.
This.
That poor rifle is hideous.

Like it or not, Try locating one in stock for purchase. Almost Any Lever gun and revolver are non-existent availability wise ON-Line. You know that place where anyone can go to buy a gun, through the gun show loop hole in my head [Bang]

so the panic has assimilated all semi-auto pistols & long guns and is now working on revolvers/levers/pump action? We should see a run on muzzle loaders in another month at this rate.

You know...it is always easy to make black powder and cast lead balls. I plan to get a couple Walker replicas at some point as well as an in-line modern rifle alone with a percussion cap 50.

Unfortunately is has gotten to that point in time. When you walk in to your favorite reloading shop and the only thing, like LGS on the shelves are consignment guns AND NO components OOPS.
I've been researching muzzle loading and outside of powder storage find it has potential for a new hobby. You can cast rounds w/out having them to a specific hardness AND IF AN EMERGENCY HAPPENED Nails, bb's or what ever i could ram down the muzzle would work.

I've often wondered about this myself, but how does one make their own black powder?

I did it as a kid with stuff from chemistry sets and drug store. For something that "works" just grind the stuff up & mix well. for works well it takes more effort. Still have all my fingers though did get a good burn once screwing with it.

I thought this thread was going to about The New Yorker magazine. I have about as much interest in the Mossberg version as I do the magazine.
That's very nearly the ugliest rifle I've ever seen!

It's missing a chainsaw and Eotech with a bio hazard reticle.

Haha I knew there was something missing, I just couldn't pinpoint it. Definitely needs a chainsaw on it
Somebody needs to put that poor gun down. As in euthanize it. If it could talk, I'm sure that's what such a horror would ask for.
Looks like something you should see in that "Cowboys & Aliens" movie.
I think this is a good marketing strategy. Label these the "New Yorker" and give a percentage of each sale to the NRA.
Now, we just need a Model 29 Smith with an accessory rail...
