a pleasant surprise
so i picked up another "broken" sks and as usual its just ugly and full of cosmo buggers but i also have not found one import mark ! some days you just get lucky [Flower]
has got to be the ugliest sks i have seen in a while

you buy that beast from a guy in the springs????not sure if he was in the springs , we met in denver . turns out she was a first production type 56 made in 56 , four digit # all matching and came with the original mag . only thing that would make it better would be capture papers

You should post pics of it, as you restore it. I love seeing guns de-bubba'd.
It's a shame that so many of those who modded 'em threw away the original parts....

One of my co-workers had an SKS that first thing he did was add a scope rendering the stripper clip guide useless. Then he wanted a 30 rd mag for it. Last week he says that he bought a folding stock for it. Tapco I asked? Yep came the reply.......
I told him he just created fugly. [fail]
