Must mean you found a factory AR for under $1100. Now to find under $1K ammo ;)

I have had to resort to upgrading my revolvers and 1911 while waiting for things to call down. Its stuff that I had planned on doing and not got around to yet.

I get it, take advantage of an opportunity. It just sucks because those of us who have to deal with the interruption in our normalcy. All of this because Joe Snuffy is dumb enough to pay two to three times FMV and oversaturate the market with panic buying.

I'll just be happy when people want to sell something besides an AR or pmags in the trading post.

I dont see it ending any time soon, there are deals to be had if you look hard enough, i have even made some money just flipping items i was willing to take a chance on, now is not the time to be shopping for yourself.

I went into Sportsman's in Loveland at about 5:30 this evening to pick up the shotgun I had the BGC clear on. There were people already lining up on the sidewalk to spend the night for tomorrow's opening. According to the guy at the gun counter they have about 5 or 6 AR's coming in on tomorrow's truck. I have thermolds for $12 a pop. Shit load of misc AK & AR parts cheap. I think you and your brother were some of the last to "pry" some components off me;)

The Gun Trust business has dropped off considerably in the last 2 weeks. I've asked around and the collective best guess is that dealers are sold out and are having a hard time getting new stock.

I'm ready for things to get back to normal, too!

For ammo, the group buys here seem to be the best deal going. Today freedommunitions posted on FB that they had 223 in stock. Sold out fast as lightning. For $255 for 500 rounds. That was without shipping. I think that the group buys here beat any price available. Well, for brass cased stuff.

That would be nice, right?

Yeah, the ammo prices are killing me. Hard to go to the range when there is little to buy and some of it is triple what it was less than two months ago. I do want to keep X amount on hand just in case the zombies revolt. [zombie1][zombie1][zombie1]

Me too. When are these people going to run out of credit limit and 401K loans?

I am with you all. I am ready to not have to be cautious about when I go shooting on the weekend and not have to worry about whether I can buy ammo to replace what I just shot. Going up shooting is like my man version of a spa day, I come home all relaxed and in my happy place

My hope is that over the next 12 months this was all a bad scare and there will be some very cheap rifles and ammo to be had. Or is that just too optimistic?

I really wanted to take some carbine classes this year (still do), but not going to sacrifice my current ammo stash for that and not willing to pay the crazy 223/5.56 prices. Instead, will be taking one or more defensive handgun classes at Front Sight. Their $50 (2 day) and $100 (4 day) prices are pretty incredible. Plus, I have a buffer of 9mm that I can use for those classes. I would take a carbine class with a M&P 15-22 if I had one, but can't afford it just now.

I am right there with you on the Carbine class. I signed up for one this month with the Triggertime. Hope to get some ammo tracked down before/after to replenish. I could see if they will let me use my Mossberg 715t instead of the AR though

The funniest thing will be when all the panic crazed jag-offs try to sell their overprices crap in 12 months. I will have a good chuckle at that and may ever get banned for clowning on peoples For Sale ads. It will be totally worth it though....

I'm jusy glad that I'm in a position where I don't need anything necessarily. However, I'd like to find some small pistol primers that aren't $50 p/k.

Guess I'll just do some plinking with the ole' 22lr for a while.

I'm concerned that some of the vendors I have frequented in the past will not be able to make it through this, and may close their doors for good....[Mad]
