So I know the time isn't ideal as parts are hard to come by, and supply versus demand dictates cost but, what would you normally pay for a used/stripped Rock River lower? Does anyone know anywhere to get the parts for a 5.56 build while I'm at it? Most online places are back ordered.....damn media and their flooding the air wave with gun ban talks![Bang]

Quality stripped lowers went from about $90 to $120. Anything over that and you were paying for something that had no bearing on performance or quality.

I built 5 complete rifles in January, all for less than $1000. The hardest thing to find was bolt carriers, and honestly, without connections, I would not have been able to build but two with my spare carriers. It will be a while before those come back in stock with any regularity. Between Windham Weaponry, Midway, Brownells, Bushmaster, ACE, Fastenall and Amazon, I have been able to get al the parts sans carriers.

Thanks for the reply, yeah I am seeing private sales of some new, some used lowers for like $500....I guess if you want it now and there is nowhere else....

You can always get a GWACS for $189 and build it up for about $60 more...best price on a complete lower by far.

My wallet got raped for two lowers locally in Colorado Springs. Picked up a lower parts kit from a gun show today, and ordered one last night.

Online i've noticed you're really not going to find anything (lowers, uppers, LPK's (the essentials)). You've got to start hitting up all the local gun shops, small websites retailers and gun shows or the classifieds of forums. That's the only way i'm finding stuff. I've been watching calguns.net like a hawk because their trading area is HUGE.. And i can't access this trading area yet on this forum.

Good luck and let me know if you find stuff!
