I'm right handed, Left eye dominant (My right eye is useless). So during my time in the military i've gotten very proficient in shooting/operating right-hand M4's with my left hand. It's a ridiculous mess for quick reloads, but i can it get it done. As long as it's very close quarters and reflex type sights, i can shoot right handed since i can use both eyes.

So, I went ahead and purchased a couple stripped Right Handed lowers that i'm going to be building up. Figured i'd stay with what i'm used too. Then today, I discovered left-side-ejecting uppers existed. I wish i knew this before because i would've just waited to find a lefty lower but given the market i've realized i'm damn lucky to have got what i got.

So now for the question.. (Yeah i'm a rambler)

If i can get my hands on left-side-ejecting upper, can i mix it with my righty lower? My ignorance of the inner workings of a lower reciever is blinding me right now. [Eek3]

Thanks.

Left handed AR uses only two different parts from any other ar... The bcg and the upper receiver. Your lowers are universal.

I have a Stag lefty upper and I love it. It gets run pretty hard and has had quite a few rounds through it very reliably. There are a couple others on the market these days but I've never seen one out in the wild.

The lowers are the same. No conflict there. You'll want to get an ambi selector switch for sure. You don' need to (but can) spend a alot of money there. You can also get ambi mag releases and charging handles which cost some money, are less imortant, but really nice to have.

If you have any specific questions just ask. Lefty builds are pretty awesome.

Rock River Arms makes a lower that has the bolt catch button on the right side. Actually made that way, not a modification.

Have Fun.
