I have 50 to 60 pounds of copper scrap that came from melting down range bullets
I would like to sell to a recycle dealer in Pueblo.
Does anybody know or have any experience with selling scrap in Pueblo?

It is considered toxic waste. I will dispose of it for you for a small fee.......[Tooth]
If you drive it up here I'll take it in for you

Brighton is a little out of the way for me, but I do appreciate the offer.
What timing. I tore out an old solar water heater in the house we live in. I had cut up all the pipes to separate the level 1 from the level 2, and it sat in my garage for a good month and a half. Today, I finally got off my ass and decided I would take it in. I was realistically expecting $30-$50. Instead they handed me $190.20 in cash. Take it in!

Man Irving you hit the jack pot on that deal.
I generally just throw the stuff away, but I had so much scrap to melt that I kept it this time.
I will be a little more dilligent about getting this stuff sold

After doing a Project years ago for my parents company (We had the contract for a 12 story office building gut in Crystal City VA, Old patent office) I will never look at scrap metal the same way. On top of all the small pipes, the building has a two 8" schedule L pipes that ran from the basement to the roof. When I had my guys cut those out and load up the box truck I never dreamed how much it was worth. And this is back in 06, Prices are three times as much or more now. On that project we walked away with over 30K in cash just from the scrap copper.
Never thought about melting down range bullets for the lead & copper, but at 3.50 lb and having 50 lbs thats a nice chunk of change you have coming your way
No kidding about copper prices. A few years ago my son was going to give away two boilers to a scrap guy. I convinced him to take them to the scrap yard.....his jaw dropped when they cut him a check for $2,500. Sad part was he had given 3 similar boilers away on prevoius retrofits.

I had 3 and 1/2 buckets of range lead, it made 340 lead ingots that probably weigh just over a pound a piece. That is over 10,000 230 grain 45 acp bullets. I think it is worth it. Especially if I can sell the copper to pay for the propane.
I believe american iron and metal will buy it, I know a couple of guys who have taken 5 gal. buckets of old lead and copper bullets to them in the past, but it has been a year or more. if not dionisio's might as well, but american pays cash the latter pays by check so just for the sake of time involved cashing a check I would try american first.

Koscoves, Western crap, etc. Will take it here in the springs. Make sure to call around and get the prices that day from everybody. I personally like the guys at Koscoves as I get to pick through their entire yard when I go there. But alot of times Western will give a better price. Alot of it depends on what exactly your bringing as well.
