If you have not read his book, you should. I feel lucky to say that I had the pleasure of meeting him.
Its just terrible that someone he was trying to help did this. We lost a great one today.

Apparently a suspect was apprehended..

http://www.khou.com/news/texas-news/Famed-Navy-SEAL-Chris-Kyle-shot-killed-in-N-Texas-189539281.html

A warning was issued for the suspect, who was believed to be driving a black Ford F-350 truck with large tires and rims. The suspect was reportedly later captured in Lancaster, south of Dallas. The individual was believed to be highly trained with military experience, according to the Erath County Sheriff's Office.

EDIT: The sofrep link listed above apparently had more info..

This is just really sad, I've seen some of his appearances and he seemed like a great guy and one hell of an American Warrior.

From the link above

Chris had been volunteering his time to help Marine Corps veterans suffering from PTSD and mentoring them. Part of this process involved taking these veterans to the range where one of them snapped and killed Chris and his neighbor for reasons that remain unknown at this time. The perpetrator then stole Chris’ vehicle in an attempt to escape but we have received word that the police have since arrested him.

Most people do not know that every single cent he received from his book sales he has donated to the families of the fellow soldiers lost in his book.
He was true a american hero in just the way he lived his life. He would alway say that he was not a hero, the ones around him were the heroes.

Does anyone else find it fishy that John Noveske, Keith Ratliff, and Chris Kyle are murdered/killed by "accident" and the left side social media like "Million Moms for Gun Control immediately jumped on and start saying "people with guns and training still got shot, guns are not the answer" thing?

As far as I know both Chris Kyle and John Noveske spoke out against the gun ban, and John Noveske suggested the problem with psychotropic drugs.

I don't believe in coincidences anymore, not at this point in history, in this country, with this regime in power. At a certain point it stops being paranoia and merges into being completely realistic. When your government constantly lies to you, the only thing you can trust is that you know you can't trust your government.

Prevention is easier than cure. I vote that anyone who has "Ray"as any part of their name be euthanized as a precaution for public safety. Even if it just saves one life.

It has been reported that Chris had been volunteering with sailors and marines that suffered from PTSD. Part of his time had been spent at gun ranges with them. We know that his alleged shooter is a former marine that is reportedly suffering from PTSD. It is HIGHLY more likely that this individual was mentally sick and for reasons that we may never know or understand, decided to murder Chris and another individual. I know that many people want to create or chase outlandish conspiracy theories, but this has a much higher likelihood of being a man becoming the victim of violence related to mental illness. If the shooter is actually a combat vet suffering from PTSD and Chris was volunteering to help him, it just adds more pain to an already tragic event.

The Shooter (Routh)was in the Marine Corps Individual Ready Reserve. Routh's service record shows that he was an armorer with the rank of corporal and served from June 2006 to January 2010. He was deployed three times -- to Iraq, various locations in Europe and the Middle East, and to Haiti.

It's unfortunate that another veteran would take up arms against a fellow american. Just going to be honest but this just makes me fear our government more. Which is probably what they want. After all if you fear something enough you wont fight it.

This has been a tough year, particularly the last few months. RIP Chris and my thoughts and prayers go out to your loved ones.

I am trying to steer clear of tinfoil, but this just does not sit right with me. The guy that did this "might" have been suffering from PTSD according to the first reports that I read. I guess no one would know unless he specifically told them with HIPPA laws the way they are. If it were me I would sentence this guy to death, and just see what he said if he started talking. There is a correlation here to build a defense for this guy within the first report of the crime. If he were counting on a PTSD / temporary insanity plea, sentencing him to death should get him singing if he were part of a greater scheme. You win wars by killing the oppositions heart, killing their hero's does just that.

Isn't that wonderful. I'm sure they won't get to far to make an impact. From what I've read is anytime they announce a location to protest they end up getting OUT protested and human walls are formed to prevent them from getting close.

They better watch out as well cause there will be a lot of ex military and current military there. They might accidently run into a few fists and boots.

That's what they hope will happen. The way that they make money is by suing people who threaten them.
