Yep. I was like WTF!!!! He says that we should allow ourselves to get arrested and "have our day in court". Also says we will overwhelm the system.....


Happens around 10:45 or so.

Great if they allow you to bond out, if not, you rot until the "system" lets you have your day. Could be a while if many get arrested.

If you watch the entires clip and more important the entire episode his whole point is that while many may want to go the route of "you can take them from my cold dead hands" that will prove to only make things worse for our cause. He went on in a later episode to show how the events at Ruby Ridge and Waco turned very bad for those involved over what were actually pretty minor events leading up to the final outcome.

Public sentiment will not be with the gun owners if it comes down to a shootout with LE which in turn makes us look like gun toting nut jobs. His approach is to that of an MLK or Gandhi.

Yeah, Glenn has been acting like a beach lately... Used to enjoy listening to his radio show but i find myself turning the dial more often than not when he comes on.

And yet MLK and Gandhi both died by being shot........

I know your a big Beck-bot.. I still listen to him enough to get the jist of his latest "project" but you don't need to defend him on every stupid thing he says.

The more I listen to him, the more I think the people that said he is just a tool to "calm" the masses down, are right.

There was another segment where I heard him say that we should get arrested and overwhelm the system just like Mao Se Tung would do if China ever went to war with Russia. Basically Mao would march a million soldiers into Russian and have them surrender. Next day another million and another million after that. The only problem is Mao could care less what happened to his soldiers. They are nothing more than cannon folder to him. Same idea does NOT apply to Americans and the 2nd amendment.

I was so pissed after hearing that, that I turned the station.

Thats great... and in the mean time all your guns and ammo have been confiscated, more trumped up charges you have to fight and your guns and ammo are lost in evidence or accidentally destroyed.
Not to mention you now have a felony record and could never own them again anyway.

I remember an old attorney friend saying that some day they would come for guns; and they are doing it..... He said shoot the bastards and they will think twice! I thought that was interesting and prob a little more sane this Glen Beck's proposal....

everyone believes the idea that if they come for our guns we will all make a stand and it won't happen, but i think that is false. only a very small amount, probably 5% or so, would be willing to die or go to prison over their guns. if they wanted to take them they certainly could. especially with public sentiment behind them, which soon it will be, probably in another decade or two.

On the flip side, Public Sentiment won't really even know that quiet arrests are being made because the media will either not cover it, or they're going to demonize the hell out of the "criminals" and say that pornography was found on the "criminal's" computer, etc. The "Victors" however short-term they may be, are going to write the history.

I think the bigger point is that course of action isn't going to end well for you (or anyone for that matter).

If it gets to the point that the cops have shown up at your door because you have broken a law (legit law or not), there is no longer a solution that will end well.

That choice was made at the first IF. Civil disobedience is a proper response to unjust laws but some people are going to go to jail for a while in the process.

The point of the 2nd amend. is to make the government think twice before it does something and if at last resort fight back with deadly force. It is not there so we can "overwhelm the system" or "have our day in court". If that tactic worked then there would be no need for the 2nd amendment in the first place.

I know you're conflicted on this... I can feel it....
