Having lived in MD years ago, I became a member of mdshooters.com and still keep in touch with them regularly. Below is an important message I received from them today concerning their 2A situation.
Dear Maryland Shooters Forum Community,
This Wednesday, February 6th, marks one of the direst threats that the gun owners of Maryland have faced in decades.
The Maryland General Assembly, in this case the state Senate, is working to restrict your civil rights in the most Draconian of ways. Though we have faced challenges before in the legislature, we as a community have seen nothing like what will be before us on February 6.
This mass email is the very first ever sent to the general membership of the MDS community in eight years, thus illustrating how exigent our circumstances are and how urgent your participation is.
A rally will be held on Lawyers Mall in downtown Annapolis at 11am. The hearings on the bills that will eliminate or curtail your civil rights will begin at 1pm.
You and your fellow MDS members are the thin line that stands between the Maryland General Assembly and your civil rights. It's time to stand up and say "enough".
