BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. — Sylvester Stallone says that despite his “Rambo” image and new shoot-em-up film “Bullet to the Head,” he’s in favor of new national gun control legislation.
It's getting to be funny watching the Hollyweirdos who make a multi-million dollar living out of shootin' and killin' on the screen pretend that really they are horrified at the thought of seeing an actual gun, one that goes bang, anywhere near them. Stallone, who sprays bullets with glee onscreen, and slaughters his enemies willy-nilly, is actually (no, really) a gun-control freak! Some past quotes:
"until America, door to door, takes every handgun, this is what you're gonna have... It really is pathetic... We're livin' in the Dark Ages over there."
Sylvester Stallone, March 28, 1998
"It [2nd Amendment] has to be stopped, and someone really has to go on the line, a certain dauntless political figure, and say, ‘It’s ending, it’s over, all bets are off. It’s not 200 years ago, we don’t need this anymore, and the rest of the world doesn’t have it. Why should we?"
Sylvester Stallone on Access Hollywood, June 8, 1998
Yet, when (publicly available on request) information was requested by an interested party from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, this was the reply he received:
"The Sheriff's Department indicates that Mr. Stallone applied for a CCW permit on September 29, 2004. He was issued a permit on November 30, 2004."
Rambo carries a "concealed weapon"! He gets to live in the Dark Ages, 200 years ago, but doesn't think anyone else should be allowed to...
Maybe he should withdraw his latest pro-violence, pro-gun, pro-killing movie from circulation...
