Anyone who loves dogs should watch this documentary / series about dogs. It explains well dogs. Why they're able to tell if a human has cancer, how they can see blues and yellows, how they have incredible intuition and do what you want before you ask them to, and the symbiotic bond of humans and dogs... Along with why they follow you everywhere, chase thrown things, are always able to catch the frisbee... This documentary is amazing.

I don't think I'm allowed to provide a specific link as it's not free. But if one was to goto thepiratebay DOT com and searched for that title one might come up with said show. I don't have cable... So I have no idea what channel / network it would be on. But it really is MIND BLOWING. Who would ever think of dogs in this light? You think they're just happy four legged animals that want to like your face but you didn't know that licking your face tells them about your health? This is absolutely crazy.

Is the one you watched called "The Secret Life of the Dog"? If so, I think it was BBC that aired that or maybe that was where I first saw it. Fascinating.

Is it because they can actually smell the cancer molecules in the air around a patient? Their olfactory receptors are SO sensitive. I'd like to see this, thanks for the heads up.
