If the conservatives are wanting to stop any future gun ban legislation what they need to do is add two items to every piece of legislation that the liberals present to congress. The first one being "An Innocent Victims Protection Clause" that would outlaw abortion. The second item would be a clause that would hold the individual legislators liable and able to be sued by victims of crimes who were not able to defend themselves because they had been disarmed by the actions of the legislators.

And then the committee hearing the bill, controlled by dems, will kill the amendments and they won't get added to the bill. Won't work unless you have a republican controlled house/senate and then you don't really have to worry about much anti-gun legislation passing anyway.

What they want and NEED to do is, RUN Electable candidates for office. Not some Dan Meas or Peter Boor's. Forget someone with deep pockets, get someone who people feel has credibility, not lost in space.

Lets not forget that deep pockets can certainly help... you gotta pay for all that advertizing and campaigning somehow!

What Bailey Guns is saying is that its important to understand the actual processes in the various legislatures on how bills really get written, and how their progress through is controlled, in order to understand how and where to apply pressure.
That's what good lobbyists do and why I'm critical of half-assed lobbyists in our cause.

Actually you include in the law that the ONLY exemption is for active military or National guard training.
This would mean all law enforcement personnel would be bound by the law the same as the general populous. If passed on a state level - any Fed law enforcement personnel operating within the state would have to comply.
We need a person that runs a business and has some f you money. And can recite the second amendment from memory would be nice too.

What you need to understand is that reproductive rights are one of the most important topics to Liberals, and regardless of your personal opinion or religious beliefs they do have a valid point that no woman should be FORCED by the government to give birth if she does not wish to do so. There are so many reasons why that is a bad policy, and I view any politician who wishes to strip woman of that right with the same contempt as those who wish to strip us of our right to own guns.

^This nailed it. Give us all someone to vote for and the state will turn.

She is not being forced by the government to do anything. She made her choice to have consensual sex and is forced to deal with the consequences. The law would only prohibit other people from killing an unborn child. Notice that I said "consensual" meaning rape and incest are outside the victims choice and should be treated as such.

Agreed.
Our focus needs to be individual liberties at ALL levels, not just the ones that appeal to us.

1) What Bailey Guns said.
2) The second part is unconstitutional. It violates the "speech or debate" clause.

Again, already litigated and held to be unconstitutional. Federals, acting within the course of their Federal duties, under current case law, are immune to state law. SCOTUS held that, some years ago, in a case of an at-best questionable shoot by a DEA agent, and found that the Supremacy Clause meant that state law is basically irrelevant.

I'm going to paint a picture:
Voters get a choice: Reproductive Rights vs 2A; 300 million citizens, 157 million women, 100 million gun owners comprised of men and women
RR will win almost every time, just the way that is going to roll.
If a woman wants to kill her unborn baby, let her sort that out with God. That cat is out of the bag, and if you or anyone else thinks it is going back in you are delusional, and can be blamed just as much as the gun owners that voted for Obama for why he and so many Dems hold power. Stop fighting the fight that is already lost, because it is beginning to cost us everything else.
