View Full Version : Local Powder Source?
I realize that finding powder is like finding 223 bulk ammo, but I'm hoping someone on the forum knows something I don't. I've recently purchased my first press and I'm ready to reload - except for powder. I've managed to find the bullets, brass, and primers... but I can't find any powder. I've done the "show up at sportsman's warehouse on Friday morning" thing and they don't have anything...
So, any local or online sources for H380, IMR 4064, BL-C2, Reloader 15, Varget (ha!), something else?
I'm set up to reload 22-250 and .308.

Look at all options for the calibers you reload. Then buy anything you can. Elk Bomb has a list of customer request. I am numbers 82 and 189(insert)[facepalm] Another local reloader finally had his 650 come in today, 4 weeks from being ordered. I expect/ hope ([ROFL2]) my other 550 to be here by my bday.

I think you're in the same boat with everyone else. (including those who lost it all when the ship went down)
Keep trying the local shops I guess, gunshow in a couple more weekends.
I would look at Jim's house. [ROFL2][ROFL3][ROFL2]

Even the major wholesalers are out right now. The back stock is gone. What you are swing for ammo and reloading are what is being shipped straight from manufacturers right now. It's just how it's going to be for a while. I suspect 12-18 months before you see some semblance of normalicy again. And that will be dependent on just how much douchebaggery we see from e politicians.
Well after going to DADS yesterday and realizing that they're closed on Saturday, I managed to find h380 online at bass pro shop. Apparently by having the powder shipped to the store, you avoid the hazmat fee.
