What gun to use?

I'm going to come out soon and start to shoot again. It's been about 3 years since I shot a match. I was shooting limited before. I have an open gun that I have never shot in match before and single stack. Suggestions on what gun to start up again with? Also I do need USPSA license to compete correct?

Never heard of a USPSA license.

You do not need to join USPSA to compete.

Grab whatever gun you feel the most comfortable with and get out there.
