I'm tired of the lack of conversation in my favorite section. Here's what I want. What nation produces your favorite ak? I know there are only a few factory Ak's like Maadi or Norinco's, and many ak's are parts kits on US receiver. Either way lets here what you like and why?
I'll go first.
5.45x39
For some reason I can not stop acquiring bulgarian 74's (Troy sellars builds and SLR 105's.) Though I've done my best to make them Soviet clones I love these rifles.
7.62x39
Also bulgy! Love my SLR 107 FR the thing is an effin tack driver and it has that killing Chechnyans look.
I don't have much experience in this area but I really like my Polish AK47. Made in Radom

My Nornico MAC90 conversion of course. Actually 922r compliant now with a Texas AK trigger group and Tapco 30 rounder. Changed out the rear sight to an RPK with windage adjustment, so need to re-zero.

If it has a mag conversion it's one of the best one out there.

I dont know if it's the best one, but it was the best deal. I traded 15 ar mags for it outside a tat shop.
I only have one, WASR with a G2 trigger, had I shot an AK before my AR I would have bought more AKs. Love the platform.

Building my first (bulgy 74 kit) so can't speak with any credibility yet, but my dream AK which I'll probably never have is an AKS-74u SBR. That being said, I love the Dragunov.

the Dragunov is a Dragunov not a Kalashnikov (SVD, Snayperskaya Vintovka Dragunova) or do you mean the PSL (Puşcă Semiautomată cu Lunetă model 1974)?

Russian. This Saiga conversion was probably one of my top 5 favorites I've owned. The third Y stamp was just the icing on the cake.

Good thing their rifles work better than the electricity and plumbing.

My favorites are my Polish and Rommy G builds.
The Rommy for absolute reliability and my Polish not only for reliability but also for finish wise.
Although I did the refinish work on them the Polish has better machining from factory where the Rommy is a bit rough on the machine work.

Yeah man, I just had to put the Dragunov up there.. but the PSL is special to me... too bad I can't afford a build with a bull barrel.
