I've been trying to figure out a way to use clays for rifle and pistol use, but just couldn't figure out a good way to hang them or mount them on a board. But I just found THESE! Just clip 'em on a 3/8" rope or dowel rod, attach clays, and git after it!

At $21.50 per 50, I'ma gonna be having me some of these!

Now those are awesome! And handy... We were just up at Squaw pass a couple weeks ago and set out clays (among our paper) on stumps and whatnot and shot them. These would have been way better if we just strung up a rope between trees. [Beer]

That's cool. I'm going to grab some.
The place I like to shot though is a bit open.
I went with re-bar (hand sledge) and rubber bands.
When the ground freezes over I made little stands out of 4x4 and some furring strips.

I just wrap the rubber band around the re-bar twice, lay the clay on the top of the bar and then pull the rubber band around the clay. 95% of the time, even with birdshot, the rubber band is fine for 5-10 hits.

I've already placed my order!

Coming up with a rope or rod ain't no thing, but dammit, I just tossed out some old ski rope in the trash just this morning. You know, you hang onto something for years and years and finally say "screw it, I'll never use this, out it goes", and then BOOM......now I have a use for it. Eh, at least it's cheap.

I've used these before. they are fun, but I got sick of only have a few of them and every few shots having to go out a reset them.

That's why I ordered these. Hell, 50 of them for $21.50 +$5 shipping, I can string up a shitload of clays to pop at for quite awhile. Close range ain't no challenge, but I figure they'll be GREAT sport with an M1 Garand or M1 Carbine at 100 yards. Even better at 200.
