View Full Version : Hello From Aurora
As someone mentioned on this site once you get the black gun fever, you can not have just one. I have a M4 flattop that I purchased about a year ago. My current plan is to build a heavy barrel AR15. Researching the possiblities is what led me to this site. One guestion that has come up in my mind if one purchases a "stripped lower" and adds a trigger setup, how does one go about registering the weapon?

Welcome. [Beer]
As for your question you lost me what does a trigger have to do with registering a weapon? We don't have registration in CO unless it's an NFA item.

Welcome to the forum.
The "stripped lower" IS what is registered when you buy it. (if from a dealer)
Like HunterCO, you lost me.

Welcome from Westminster!
Note for a price they send you a "stripped lower" and all the parts. Somehow that seems to be at the line or pushing hard.[Bang]

That is a kit without the lower reciever that is why no FFL is required. If they sell lower recievers that would have to be transfered through a local FFL dealer.
Alan has DPMS stripped lowers for $130 if your interested I can get you one. This would require a 4473 and background check to purchase.
So the photo is the lie. You are right the text, on closer exam, does says "no lower receiver". Thanks for the info.[Beer][Beer]

Welcome to the boards from Colorado Springs. The fever for evil black rifles is an itch that keeps needing to be scratched - so be careful (and forewarned!).
