To all your are blessed to be fathers, enjoy your day today. If you have time, tell your story.
Mine is my Mother bought me an AK47, my wife bought me ammo and my 2.5 YO daughter made me a card and "signed" her name. Of the three the card was the best. I plan on spending the rest of the day not going to church, but spending my day for what it is. Father's day. (Though I would not have minded going shooting or playing golf)
same to all of you out there...

What a true blessing children can be. I have 2 kids - a 19yo daughter and a 16yo son.
My "fathers day" (sort of) story:
I bought my wife a handgun last Sunday - I was only looking for her to "try on" the feel of something so I'd know what she liked the best and could buy it for her at a later time. I was focusing on the 40S&W's when she asked the SW gun counter guy to show her the 45ACP's (what?). I told her that the 45's have a bit more kick to them and wanted to be sure that's what she was interested in. She was sure. Well, we walked out of there with my wife the proud owner of a two-tone Ruger P345. Once we got home we showed it to the kids and got to know the gun a little better.
A few days later, my daughter babysat for my best friend and his wife when they attended a CCW class. When they came home my daughter told my friend that she can't wait until she is 21; not so she can buy alcohol, but so she can buy guns. My buddy called me up to tell me this and (I swear) a tear came to my eye!
Yup, I'm one proud Dad!

Had a great day! I slept in until 1 since this is my last day off until July. So I get up, and my stepson gives me the Bucket List and a father's day card. First one ever from him by himself. And I got a care package from Vic's Popcorn. All my favorites in it. Then we all saw a movie, and then went out to eat at Bird Dog BBQ. And sometime next week I'll get some Wild Bills beef jerky. It just didn't make it in time. Oh and they gave me carrot cake. The good kind from Fargos.
So I got to spend the day with 2 out of 3 kids, eating good stuff. Oh and my oldest bio kid actually texted me. That was a surprise since this is the first father's day since I made him go live with his mom.
Happy fathers day to all you dads.
I had a wonderful day despite getting ditched half way through the day by my oldest son (9) so he could spend the day with his friend and his dad. My step daughter called me and my other three kids made me home made cards.

Well, while technically, or biologically, not a father (meningitus at 17 boiled my shrimp) I did recently 'adopt' three strays and their mom; she's an old days acquantance of mine that was in dire straights and I invited them over for a while til she got back on her feet. 8 months later, her three kids (girl-10, girl-13, boy-16) have taken to calling me 'daddy'.

Well, I had a great day! My 90 year old mother came into the church last week and took communion for the first time in her life today. We then went to my son's ranch and spent the afternoon shooting trap followed by a great prime rib dinner and an evening of playing Texas Hold 'em (lost at poker though, LOL)
