I hate being new to somewhere, but I don't have a choice at this point.

Without digging through thousands of posts, does anyone here have any good or bad things to say about these mags?

I'm a new owner to a dpms, and looking to improve my mag reserve without getting hosed, or flat being told "we're out of stock forever".

Thanks in advance.

I ordered some from Mako on the 24th of Jan and they still haven't shipped despite the website saying they are in stock and shipping daily.

I did get to pick one up at a gun show and they seemed fine...obviously heavier than the alum USGI mags.

Did you notice what they were selling for at the gun show? They seem to be very good quality & I've seen good reviews on them.

I don't recall, but the same jackhole was asking:
$65 for gen3 Pmags
$75 for an HK P30 mag
$60 for glock 19 mags

I ordered some around the 16th of January and haven't heard a peep. Supposedly they are decent mags tho

Well, I'm sure that many of you have done some research, as I have. Seems most folks are saying that they fit really tight, *extra slap* to get 'em in, tight.... and some lowers won't release freely. I've heard mention of filing down the mag detent a little bit to cure that problem. I have a friend that will sell me "a few" Pmags for the honest price that he got them for, but I don't know how many I'll really get.

I did order some e-landers from mako too, and they now say 2-3 months to your door... :(..... I read several other forums discussing using these for range activities, and saving back their good stuff keeping it pristine condition. I just got this AR 3 weeks ago and have not had a chance to shoot it yet, but it does kind of make sense to have a group of mags just for the range I guess. I'll certainly post how they do when I get them, but you guys will get yours ahead of me for sure.

I ordered 4 30's and 2 40's.... and a week ago I ordered one of those "fore grip/tripod w/ a light" gizmos from them too. After I get that and mess with it a bit, I'll find where to leave a review on it, and let you guys know if it's something to stay away from or not.

And thanks for the input fellas.

They have almost zero QC, so don't be surprised if a few of the mags you receive are well out of spec. People have been receiving ones that look like a 12 year old put them together.

Glad I only ordered 5. I was figuring I would try them out and order more if I liked them. Looks like I may not have that option.

Most of my mags are Pmags and Ronans with a few Troys and others.

Dammit. I hope mine don't suck.

A buddy picked up some Thermolds for me yesterday, maybe they're a step or two up? Hope so.

I received mine and I don't think you'll be disappointed with the quality. Built like a tank, all 8 fit and function perfectly in my SIG. Biggest complaints I have seen online appear to be fit with some Bushmasters & DPMS. May take a harder tap to insert on closed bolt, will not drop free, etc. Again, all of mine work fine with my rifle. Hopefully your experience will be the same.

I've got 6 of the first batch (the ones some people are having issues with) and they work fine in my Colt, KAC, and BCM. Seems the issue was that the location of the mag catch hole on the magazine was a little too low on some mags. I've read that filing it down will fix the problem. With that being said, the only issues I've seen are from the first run of mags and supposedly the problem was fixed. I actually think they're pretty nice mags and ordered a few more to put aside for the Tavor I pre-ordered.

I've got 20 of them, they did take a while to ship, but they all fit fine in all platforms I tried them in....... FN-FNC, PWS, and RRA. Haven't had a chance to run them yet.

Not that anyone probably gives a shit if I post at this site or not....

It's my opinion that there is nothing wrong with e-lander mags at all. No worries, order these mags with confidence.

Glad you like them. I've had similar results and am very impressed with the sturdiness of them.

Cool, brother.. :)

I also received some Thermold mags for my recently acquired (not shot yet) Ruger mini 14. They fit well, don't know about feed yet....I'm sure they're fine in that department as well.
