Okay I'm seeing a lot of buzz lately about the GOP response to the State of the Union by Marco Rubio, but it's not for what was said, it was his quick little water break... WTF!? I don't watch MSM, so I'm not entirely sure what they're actually saying (I've heard CNN is creating a lot of this hoopla, no surprise), but a lot of the pro-2A/Conservative pages on FB are asking why it's a big deal. Are we really degrading as a society where drinking water is a bad thing or something worth making a big mess out of? Even Mike Rosen made the comment that if a liberal politician took a sip of water would CNN had shown it 155 times... Are you kidding me? Sad, pathetic, and infuriating... they have nothing better to talk about? [facepalm]

One of the stupidest "issues" that's been brought up in recent years.

The "free press" sees him as the a viable candidate in 2016. Character assassination is SOP for them and has been very successful. Every Republican is characterized as either stupid, evil, or both. Who can forget "Binders of women" or "Mitt wants to kill big Bird!" from the last election? It's so incredibly transparent. The "binders of women" comment could have swayed the female vote. Cutting funding for PBS AKA "kill Big Bird" hurts one of their propaganda outlets. Remember when the left was trying to manipulate the "fairness doctrine" to attack conservative talk radio? They had to abandon their war on talk radio since the fairness doctrine would have inevitably come back to bite the "mainstream media" outlets they own. The brainwashed drones just obey their masters and happily eat the propaganda they're being spoon feed.

This. The establishment sees a threat and they will attack like mad. I say let Rubio take the heat, that keeps it off Rand who is the much better candidate. After 4 more years of Oblammer people might actually be willing to listen to him.

They're a little scared of Rand I think. A Libertarian might sway some of their base so they'll need a new tactic to destroy him. Rest assured that they're working on it though. Allen West scares the sh!t out of them.

I personally believe the GOP is headed to far moderate and will slowly morph into RepubliCrats. Some think its possible for them to come back but I think it's a dead party.

Once that happens true conservatives and Libertarians will need to find a common ground to move closer to the original intent of the founders. Maximum freedom with as little government as possible to hold things together and support the military.

Sadly, I agree. Let's hope it's not too late by then.

True, but by the time they're done with this issue he'll have done a spit take, misspelled potato, and insulted women/minorities/gays... The sheep will eat it up like so much grass.

He didn't though and came across in a legitimate way! He appealed to the common man and almost has me wondering if he did it on purpose. He didn't look like a professional speaker or shall I say politician.......

Basically if our society crashes, I'm viewing all MSM employees as nazi camp guards, implicitly involved with the crimes of the state. No fucking mercy.

I got dibs on reading the sentencing on Piers Morgan! "Mr. Morgan, we the people, of the great Reunited States of America, find you guilty and henceforth sentence you..." [Coffee]

Who said that Rubio was drinking water? Methinks...he was drinking tea flavored Kool-Aid --- what with the zombie economic ideas that have eaten his brain.

In case you're wondering, a zombie idea is a proposition that has been thoroughly refuted by analysis and evidence, and should be dead --- but won't stay dead because it serves a political purpose, appeals to prejudices, or both.

"The classic zombie idea in U.S. political discourse is the notion that tax cuts for the wealthy pay for themselves, but there are many more."

Quote: Rubio And The Zombies, Paul Krugman, The New York Times OP-ED Friday, Febuary 15, 2013

But then where is the fun in seeing what kind of batshit crazy, nonsensical, oddities some of these people are able to come up with if they're ignored? [Coffee]
