So I bought an AK receiver with the rails already installed and took my parts kit down to a guy to build out my AK (I would have loved to do it but alas I no longer live in CO and seem like no one here has the knowledge) so it took them awhile to source a barrel but i finally got a call today. Sadly bad news apparently the bolt was not riding down the rails so they took a closer look at it and its been "pinched" about midway they said and that is messing with the bolt. Now knowing what I know about AK (not alot) I asked could that be fixed and they replied that it would be better to get a new lower. So that is my question guys, can it be fixed or do I need to find a new lower. I currently dont have any pictures but if that would help I could drive up there tomorrow afternoon and take some. thanks guys

receivers can be tweaked but without pictures and measurements it's hard to give advice

Now from the description, iyou said they said its"pinched" in the middle.Almost sounds like the center support is to short-its the one thats has the long rivit through the middle.
It also could be the upper rails are pinched in-what I usualy do when I run into a problem like that is take a peice of wood (hammer handle) and gently twist ,dont get the lower rails just the uppers, and try the bolt carrier frequently.
You can eyball it with a straight edge along side to see where its pinched at and work from there.

can you give me an idea of what you want me to measure so i can make sure i get everything, ill take pics as well

For starters I would measure the front of the reciever-where the front trunnion meets the lower rails. The reciever at the rear trunnion, kind of in the middle to get an idea of overall size, then measure in the middle where the center support is.
Overall it should be close-a little bit of a pinch in the center is ok but not a whole bunch.
Also check with a straight edge top to bottom of reciever, from top rails to lower where trigger is.That also will give an idea if it's out of square.

also measure the distance between the top rails and the thickness of the bolt carrier where the top rails engage the bolt carrier

so i went up there today to check it out, the receiver in the middle moves in 1 MM in from the front trunnion to the middle. However I called the company that made the receiver over the weekend and the guy called me back first thing this morning, i told him of the prob and he said he build his ejectors big enough for an AK74 or AK47 and it might need to be trimmed just a bit. When I went up and looked at it, it was the ejector holding the bolt back and when we pulled out the bolt and just ran the carrier down the rail it ran just fine. So I think that was the prob not the rails. So is that normal? Also I didnt take and pics because I found this out pretty early. It will be done soon! Im excited

Cool.
That is somewhat normal, but I would think the guy would have trimmed the ejector if it was built for a 47-the magwell opening for a 74 would be smaller then a 47,so I dont understand the guy's logic on not trimming the ejector.
But it is an easy fix.file down the ejector so yhat it feeds and ejects, but do it slowly and carefully while checking fit frequently.
The ejector is probably heat treated so it needs to be filed with care.
If you could I would reccomend sending it to Bert and have him do it,but I dont know what his ffl status is.

yea, the guy seemed more knowledgalbe when i first dropped off the kit then he seems now. I wish I could have built it myself. He is going to file it down.

No offense but it seem like this builder may not have to many builds to his name. Almost all of my ejectors built from flats have to be filed down a bit. Now, I understand this wasn't a flat but the bolt hitting or rubbing on the ejector is a very common thing and is very easy to diagnose.

Can't believe he was gonna condemn the receiver?!?!?
