Put out-of-state and mil/Feds on back order and flood the Colorado market with 100,000 or more mags in the next seven days. That would be awesome. It would actually make me smile, A LOT...

[panic]

At a discounted rate of corse ... Like just above cost. They would giving a huge middle finger to the dems and libtards.

But...but...If they drop the date stamp RIGHT NOW there would be no way to enforce the grandfathering of "pre-ban" magazines. It would make these wonderful new laws that protect us from ourselves virtually unenforceable. For heavens sake Teufelhund, think of the children!!! [panic]

It would be really nice of Magpul to hook us up. I dont mean less than regular cost. They are a business. But, the idea of letting us buy direct at the plant, or just direct shipping to Colorado addresses would be a great thing for them to do. Just until legislation is signed.

Please magpul.

It would be nice but they are getting an unexpected expense in having to move. That will involve a shutdown when they are extremely busy. they are going to need all the spare cash they have this year.

brobar
02-17-2013, 10:00
If they offer them at normal price, right from the docks of their facilities, they should make more money on that. It will help them clear inventory so they don't have to take that inventory with them to another state or pay to ship it anywhere. It would be cash on hand that they could put towards their moving expenses. Sounds like a win-win for both Magpul and the citizens of Colorado (all things considered).

If they sold them at their loading dock at MSRP, I'd be there to support them. If they do have to move, I think they should ban sales to Colorado agencies as well. I'd still support them.

That ad is full of super win!

If they have to leave Colorado I would not blame them, and I would support them even more, simply based on the core value and principles we all cherish.

I would love for MAGPUL to make a "Colorado Freedom PMAG" just for Colorado, as many as they could, to flood Colorado residents enough to survive through a hopeful temporary prohibition of "standard capacity" PMAGs. The last neeneer neeneer to the socialist idiots who got elected and "high five'd" each other........................

I like all these ideas with some modifications:

- I'd pay extra for the mags if the money would go to the NRA/RMGO to help fight this idiocy.
- Have the "tent sale" put on in conjunction with local businesses that will surely suffer from this prohibition too.
- Make sure the event is done somewhere legal. Maybe a gun show as an extra "fuck you" to the "gun show loophole" stupidity.
- Keep up production of the Colorado Freedom addition magazines w/o serial #'s and make sure to stock them in boarder states.
- Sell the Colorado Freedom addition magazines in spare part kits.
- Make a Colorado Freedom Super Size addition that holds 60 - 100 rounds (super size fuck you to the asshat legislators).

Thoughts?

You can donate to RMGO right now.

As for Magpul, their fight is over. Think it through... Why would they spend money and resources fighting in our state when the climate has turned Dem/anti? When they can go to WY, TX, or UT? They can get guarantees from those states along with deep tax incentives just to bring the jobs.

CO has nothing to offer Magpul and they made this known. State Dems didn't listen.

All of the other "FU" measures I fully support. Magpul should sell its stock to us before leaving. Discount or not, make it public and well-known. Make it cash only to create a question of ownership anytime someone's 30 rounders get called into question; "Magpul had that big cash only event and that is where I got them."

I see what you're saying but I imagine a lot of the MagPul employees are CO natives or folks like me that think of this place as home. Perhaps they'd like to move production back one day once the state is restored to sanity. Wishful thinking on my part perhaps...

I left the state for two years for work. Thankfully, it was another free state, but I still had to leave my home to follow the buffalo. When I could, I came back.

Times like these force people to prioritize what they want v. what they need. I love this state as well and have lots of family here. But I will not be disarmed or ruled. I will not live as a subject.

This issue has jack shit to do with guns. It has everything to do with the broader Dem plan to re-write the rules of property and labor ownership. And if I had a business that was targeted by these Dems, who have won the state, I wouldn't look back.

I hope they don't have to move and this mag ban fails.

But if they do need to move, I support them. They must do what they need to do. I'm proud they are a Colorado company but beyond that they are a great company that makes great products that I will continue to purchase no matter where they move. I hope they move to Cheyenne if they must move. I'd love to go get me some fireworks and Pmags. I also think that if they are forced to move because of this legislation they should flood the Colorado market with direct sales to Colorado residence at what ever price they need to sell them to us for to be profitable. I'm hoping for a wholesale type price though so that there can be more bought and given around our state. Not everyone will be able to come to Erie/Boulder so if they were cheap enough we could gift them to our other Colorado resident's not so fortunate to live close by. Hell, I'd sign a contract that stated I would never sell the mags I bought ever. But you could give them away to other confirmed Colorado residents.

Even if the bill is killed, now Magpul has to worry about it in future years. Why would a company want to stay in a state where its products could be banned in any given year?

It might be best if Magpul goes to more friendly state. And if we want to buy a 30-round magazine, well, we just have to...

E-freakin-xactly!

Why would you risk your business when you could go to a state that will give you tax breaks and promise to never do what Colorado is doing. Not to mention, TX has no income tax on personal income. So you get an extra 4% back in your pocket just for moving there.

I would say Dems are stupid, but they are proving to be more evil than stupid.

We're hearing some rumors that the Gov and the Dem caucus think we are bluffing. Just to clarify for them, then...we're not a political company. We dont play political games. We've made our position very clear, very publicly. We would not survive lying to our customer base, nor would we ever consider it. If you pass this, we will leave, and you will own it. We've already got plans in place to get PMAG manufacturing moved rapidly, and the rest of the company will follow. We will make sure to at least have a small remain-behind operation through the 2014 elections so that we can remind folks why we are gone.

I was wondering if your 5 point plan to get the economy moving again included forcing a successful small businesses like MagPul to move out of state because that's fucking brilliant. If so, I've got a 5 point plan to address the Japanese Pine Beetle infestation that you should like. It starts with burning down the forest and ends with paving over the burn site. Quick question for you. At this point would you say you're completely full of shit or just 50%?

Succinct and well-said, Cthulhu- but it's "beetle." The other spelling means the band. And "you're" (the last two letters are reversed in your letter.) We have to make sure our letters are spelled correctly so as not to reinforce their stereotypes of us.

I especially like the cheeky closing.
Of course, they'll justify ignoring your letter because the swearing isn't very sensitive.
