Going to Denver Monday after making a stop in at Jensen's & am looking for good casual places to eat in the Denver area.... Does not need to be really fancy but good tasty food. We are open to anything that's yummie & not a total dive....

Any other gunshops in the area worth stopping in at...or any Wallmarts figure the panicking has emptied everything AR & ammo related...also looking for pre packaged bulk food storage items...any Sam's club or other places to stop in at to look for these items????

What kind of food do you like? Over a thousand restaurants here.

Anything and everything we are tired of the same old fast food/chain restaurants/so so steak joints here in Wyoming....

We do enjoy Middle Eastern, Jewish, ethnic but am tired of the meh Chinese buffet restaurants or run of the mill Mexican...

Have you ever had Pho?

Yes, both really good and not so good....

I spent 3 years on Okinawa and traveled to Guam, PI, Singapore, Korea and other places & really enjoyed the local national food...HH6 also loves to try new food....

Have been both there and Jerusalem Restaurant & they are really god eats, looking to try something new where we have not been before, but both these places are on the very yummie short list. Going to be down off of Belleview Ave in Greenwood Village at the Jewelry Exchange..after that might just drive around Denver & get lost....[Beer]

BoycottDenver bring your own food and beer. Make sure the beer is not made in the state.

This is our regular eating spot in Denver: http://www.petesrestaurants.com/PetesGreekTown.html

Inexpensive, plenty of food and the closest to an east coast diner that I've found in Denver. Across the street and toward East High School is Omonia Bakery. Good cookies and spinach pie.

I hope you find something good.

Be safe.

Take a short drive up Hwy 74 out of Morrison to Kittredge and have a NY Strip at the Black Hat Cattle Co. Their food is on par with the best steakhouses in Denver for a fraction of the price and the service is fantastic.

Or, try the Sherpa House (wife and I fondly call it the "Yak Shack") in Golden for Himalayan cuisine or US Thai in Edgewater. Nordy's BBQ in Loveland is really good, too.

Great place to eat! I have known Jim for many years. If you want some company I would be down to join ya. I have not been there in a few months.

we LOVE "pho duy" in denver. It is super tasty and very affordable. The flavors are great and the portions are monstrous. If you want dim sum, "star kitchen" is just down the street from "pho duy" and that place is also fantastic, but dimsum will be a little more expensive; plus it's kind of a mid-day affair.

Sounds tasty & will try it next time we come down for a steak instead of going to The Fort.

Out of the way this trip, but duly noted for future trips

Where are these places?

Not sure if we will make it there, also thinking about getting in Denver early, going to Denver Biscuit Company, doing the running around & then stopping someplace on way home...might be Biker Jims or possibly the pho duy place if it's close to where we are going...

Kadena was my best assignment by far. For great burgers in Denver, ya gotta hit Duffy's Cherry Cricket on 2nd and Josephine just North of the Cherry Creek Mall. Blackened with peanut butter and grilled onions or the cream cheese with chopped jalepenos are both money.

Just an FYI Jensens dosent have much left and there ammo selection is very limited. They have been hit hard with all this panic buying going on.

My wife took me out on date night to Osteria Marco last week. It was fantastic. And she paid!

If it has not been said before... The Buckhorn on Osage. Best steak in Denver and the most historical. Holds Denver liquor license number 1 and guns everywhere on the walls inside. Nothing more needs be said.

Star kitchen is on Mississippi and Federal, not so nice area but could be worse. Our family is good friends with the owners cause they eat there all the time good food, not sure how well they speak English but I'm sure it will be fine.

Another vote for Sushi Den. Casual Mexican you'd be hard pressed to find better than Machete.

00-04, AWACr, weapons director... like playing chess with pilots on a case of redbull. Lived offbase off 23 for 3 of the 4 years. I'd go back tomorrow, even if I couldn't take my guns (they'd be put in storage in a safe location of course).

Best stake I've ever had and it was Yak. Better not mind the 1000 pair of eyes starring down at you.

The Denver Biscuit Company on Colfax and Colorado inside the Atomic Cowboy. Best biscuits in the city and they will be on Diners Drive Ins and Dives later this year. I highly recommend the cinnamon bun biscuit to start then finish it off with the Franklin (fried chicken, cheddar, bacon sandwiched between a massive fluffy biscuit topped with sausage gravy. I promise you will not be disappointed.
