So, just for the sake of conversation, what do you carry on a daily basis and what features of the weapon do you like or maybe dislike?

Glock 23, bricks print in very obvious ways if you're not careful.

Glock 22 (with a Lone Wolf .357 SIG barrel)
SIG P229 .357 SIG
SIG P250 sub compact .357 SIG

I won't carry a semi-auto with a manual safety. I have learned to live with the decocker, DA/SA on the P229, but I like the same trigger for every shot.

I like how easy it is to swap barrels and shoot .40 Short & Weak out of all of my pistols.

It's all personal preference.

My 226 just feels familiar and natural. Been carrying it for about 18 years now, so I guess it should.

damn, after reading that, I feel old.

M&P9 for me. I really don't have any complaints about it. It's got a perfect history of reliability is as accurate as I need, feels good in the hand and conceals well.

Glock 19 or 26 depending.

1) G19 Prints like Flatline said.
2) Try as I may, neither will accept MagPul 30rd magazines.

Glock 17, and it doesn't hold enough rounds. Other than that, pretty much has everything I want in a carry gun.

Glock 26, wish it was a 17 but my 17 prints too much with just a T-shirt.

The rifle comment is great and also applies.

XD40, easy to shoot, comfortable, ease of break down/assembly, it's not a glock. :)

Hate - cost of ammo.

I love my M&P9c but I haaaate the sharp wavey serations on the slide. It wouldn't be an issue if I didn't hate the supertuck style holsters even more.

I also put up with how wide it is in exchange for it being able to take the full-size magazines.

Glock 22 (old carry piece)- Like that it's a Glock, 15 round capacity, but being a Glock it's a little bulky... rarely carry it anymore. .40S&W is more expensive than 9mm- kinda sucks.
Sig P229 (9mm)- Like that it fills the Glock's boots pretty well, 15 round capacity, not bulky, perfect for me!

VileStyle
02-18-2013, 11:44
Glock 27 Gen 3 for me.

I like the size of it, I'm able to carry it in just about anything I wear. I hate the size of the magazine.

02-18-2013, 21:04
Sig 1911 Ultra Compact
RIA 1911 A1 compact (Don't like that it's heavier than my other 1911s)
Sig RCS 1911
Sig P238 (Back-up or just want something easy to conceal)
Occasionally a .357 wheel-gun

Mostly just the RIA or my cheapest .357 just in case something happens and I have to give it up.

Just switched to a Glock 23 as my primary, out of necessity, not choice.

Like: 13+1, no manual safety, consistent trigger pull,

Don't like: Never cared for the way Glocks fit my hand. Not as accurate as I should be with it, need to practice, practice, practice.

USP 45F
USP 45C

I love the 45F, the only problem I have with it, is now it's too pretty, I don't want to scratch it...

The 45c is great, just wish it had more rounds in the mag.

I carry a Sig P239 9mm. It's a single stack so only holds 8+1. That's ok with me. If I can't do it with 9 I'm toast anyway.[Bang] What I don't like is the after market rubber grips. They are too fat under the slide lock and decocker lever enough so that you can't work them with one hand.

I switch between a Kahr PM9 and Glock 27.

Dislikes:
PM9: Wish it had more capacity. The magazines suck.
Glock 27: Wish it was as light and skinny as my Kahr.

Likes:
PM9: Disappears and is really light. Easy to conceal, but still has good sights.
Glock 27: Reliable, good firepower for the size. Easy to find holsters/accessories since it's a Glock.

Both are pretty easy to carry. I use the 27 when attire allows, the PM9 when it's a little tougher to conceal.

I've been carrying my FEG PA-63 in my pocket for awhile now, great little pocket pistol in 9x18 Mak. But then I found out the ejector is broken in two, and replacements are made of unobtainium. That REALLY pisses me off! Now it's a fucking paperweight.

Thanks, but not a chance. It's a complex part, with a tiny slot in the center of it for a tiny hairpin spring to fit in. Pistol only cost me $130 anyway, having the part made would be three times that at least.

All depends. When it's a wheelgun, I wish I had more capacity. When it's a semi-auto, I wish it were smaller and fit in the pocket. The G26 is a great compromise between both situations and is very accurate when I do my part.

G19.

I like the fat girl analogy.

Hate the cost of feeding it, so it eats the cheapest shit money can buy- always without complaint. I abuse it and it never leaves me. Has taken quite a pounding from me and seems to enjoy it. Seems like it goes 6mo before cleaning and smells like Pam all the time. When taken out in public people assume it isn't with me. Got it used from a cop that also treated it like shit. Acquired it cheaply.

I love how well that works...

I guess I have no complaints.

Kahr CW9 - light, thin fits my hand well with the finger extension, accurate

bads- low capacity

NAA 22 mag - super easy to carry, extra 5 shots for back up to primary, LOUD - makes it sound like a bigger gun

bads - gets lost in pocket, can be difficult to shoot (belly gun)

Have a G26 in a IWB holster which sits in front on the right side of my waist. I don't like side holsters because they print too much on me. No complaints here and it is an easier draw.

Will soon be carrying my SA XDS. I've only had it for a week but already I'm not liking the small ridge that is underneath the slide lock. It seems to get in the way sometimes when trying to push it up to lock the slide. Might end up shaving it off at a later date if it continues to bother me.

FNH FNS .40

Pros:
Accurate. Very Accurate.
Low Bore axis, low muzzle flip climb whatever you want to call it. Basically I can introduce 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th rounds into my target much faster than with any other .40 S&W I have fired.
14+1 capacity.
Relatively Lightweight.
Comfortable grip angle.
1911-esque manual safety ( on days you just want it).
1913 rail.
Trijicon sights.

Cons:
Its not an AR-15.
Its not a Glock.
Lack of viable holster options.
Beavertail is uncomfortable in AWIB.
No compact magazines availible hence no option for a grip chop.
Polymer is somewhat "cheap".
Angled no snag rear sight precludes one handed manipulations with this baby ( unless you use the front sight).
Finish is not wear resistant.

HK P30 LS 9mm V1 (Light LEM)

Pros:

Built like a tank (19,000 rounds over the last year and no failures)
Comfy and ergonomic
Accurate (3"groups at 20 yards are not uncommon)
Easy to conceal
15 round mags
RSA is rated for 20K-25K. That's a lot.

Cons

Trigger took a lot of time to master
Trigger is better than the DA/SA HK's, but is slow for USPSA shooting compared to the M&P and Glock guys
Holsters are limited. Comp-Tac does make them though.
Sights are limited

Conclusion is that this gun is an amazing fighting gun, but a very handicapped competition gun. I would take this gun anywhere, as it has absolutely proven itself over the last year.

I like my Glock 19, but I need to get the grip worked on it doesn't fit my hand just right, and I tend to over grip it.

I however love my p226, only thing I want to change is the trigger. It needs the short reset trigger and it would be perfect.

M&P 9c in the warmer months, Glock 23 in the colder months.

Love the size and conceal ability of the m&pc, mag capacity is good (12+1). Doesn't fit my hand as nice as the G23

Love the feel of the G23, .40 cal with 12+1 capacity and the ease of breaking it down to clean. Con would be size compared to the m&pc

Glock 23
Pros:
Fits me like a glove
Quite accurate to 50yds if I focus
Extremely reliable - hasn't had a single malfunction in at least 2500 rounds
Conversion barrel for it to shoot 9mm at the range is extremely nice.

Cons:
At times a little hard to conceal and the butt prints through my shirt at times (I have a slender frame and I carry it iwb at 3oclock)
Uhh, honestly don't see any other downsides to it. I absolutely LOVE my G23. It is one gun that I will NEVER sell, no matter what the circumstances
are.

LCP for pocket carry
Pros:
Small size
Reliable

Cons:
No sights - its really just a point and shoot gun
Long heavy trigger pull
Mags are hard to come by for it
Too thin/small for my hands (and I have small hands) until I picked up a Hogue Handall grip for it and now its perfect.

Sig P239 two tone in .40 S&W. I love the size and feel of the gun. Wouldnt want anything smaller because then my pinky would dangle off the grip of gun. Love the security of a 10 pound decocked trigger pull and the ease of the cocked 4.5 pound pull. It hides like a compact but handles like a full size handgun.
