Welcome[Beer]
Hello and welcome!
Enjoy!![Beer]
Nice choice in weapons.
Here is my P250 subbie. I swap between .357 SIG for carry and .40 S&W for plinking.

Welcome to the board!
Nominee for best first post ever.
Welcome.
Careful with that shotgun extension tube. HB 13-1224, if it passes, includes an 8-shot limit on shotguns. I'm not sure if it's written well enough, or with any exceptions for plugs.
lol. would the shotgun be "grandfathered in" if it was modified before the Bill passed?
I can't answer that, if it happens, doubtful they will grandfather anything except the mags. The law is poorly written (and I didn't read every section in detail).

2nd motion for win first post. If this is a wind up, it's awesome. If not, welcome. You came to the right place. Most people here could give a sh*t about who you're attracted to, personally, I can relate. Nice guns. I'm jealous.
Welcome to the forum! Great first post!
I am given 125 gr Speer GDHP .357 SIG. I reload 155 gr Montana Gold JHP .40 S&W. Between the two, I have enough to keep me shooting.
Ammunition is scarce everywhere and reloading components are just as scarce.
Purse carry is common and my wife is difficult to separate from her purse. I recall one young lady, who was so petite, she could not fit everything we were issued on her gunbelt. Some of us are blessed with a bit more girth [Beer]
Figure out where you are going to live and the club ranges nearby. Get your name on the waiting lists now. No point in wasting that time.
Be safe.

Welcome to the forum Audrey!! Very nice intro and very nice toy's!! Just too bad you don't like boy's. JK [Beer]
Welcome! If you're still deciding on where in CO to live, Fort Collins area is very shooter friendly. [Coffee] I went to a league night at Front Range Gun Club last night and I was happily surprised to be one of MANY women there. We may have some crummy legislative things going through right now, but CO is still a great place to live.
Welcome! Hope you enjoy Colorado and find your niche. You'll probably be most comfortable in Denver, as far as lifestyle stuff, IMO. Just sayin'. We need more women gun owners onboard.

I'll give you $20 dollars to bring me some brisket from Jack's. I know it will be cold, but I don't care.

well of course, I know it has to go through an FFL. Thanks.
Your personal firearms do not have to go through an FFL when you move with them - just pack them up and bring them instate with you. There are some states, like New York, where things like your handguns would have to go first to an instate FFL, but Colorado is not one of those state - or at least not just yet.

I believe she was talking about shipping them to her Uncle ahead of her... Just sayin. I would also ensure you comply with all transport laws in any state you pass through, assuming you're driving.

Welcome!
You couldn't pay me to drive through that state
I don't think you needed to say much else than this... I would add an extra 500 miles to any trip to avoid driving through Illinois or any one of those "Peoples Republic" states

It's funny, when I moved out to CO I drove through, even stayed the night, in Illinois. I guess I figured my neutered NY guns wouldn't be a problem anywhere else.

Welcome to the forum! Great first post! If you haven't already figured it out (you seem to be a pretty quick learner), we LOVE pictures! We will sit and drool for hours over some well done gun pictures like the ones Dangertastic and some other forum members take.
Rudy's Texas BBQ in Colorado Springs is pretty delicious!
If you haven't settled on where you want to live yet, there are a bunch of nice and quiet little towns along the front range within a pepple's throw of the mountains, basically from Fort Collins all they way down to Colorado Springs. Land here tends to be esxpensive, but I think its worth it.
We need more ladies on the forum to keep us rough fellas in line. ;)

In that case, she could ship them addressed to herself, c/o her uncle, with no FFL involvement required.

Yes, it's a Supra. No, you can't do a photoshoot with it. Not because I won't let you, but because it's in Germany. It was a JDM car I brought from Japan to Germany with me, then had trouble getting the paperwork for to import via customs and DoT, so I sold it. :( I'm looking for another one though. The next one will be a bit more built. As people have mentioned, there's lots of great towns up and down the front range, just into the mountains. It all depends on what you're looking for and how close you want to be to civilization.
Werd, Mike and I are the resident Supra owners on AR-15.co. Jer use to have one too, but no longer. Not sure what Wes' screenname is on here.
Honestly would prefer to live up in the mountains if I can. I am about sick and tired of the city, the negativity, the crime, the sirens 24/7 (where I live at it's bad, about all I hear all day long). I need some peace and serenity.
.
I hear ya. I use to live in the middle of dowtown, I do miss the social life aspect. Denver is awesome as far as crime goes, very low for the size, imo. I could walk around at night downtown without any hesitation. But prefer a big garage and basement in the 'burbs instead. Much less pain in the ass than in the city.

belated Welcome.

02-21-2013, 23:02
thank you for all the welcomes!
ugh, I wish I could use a holster for mine, but there is no room between my jeans and my waist line to add a pistol, much less one in a holster. I carry mine in my purse. unless anyone else has some other suggestions???.
Look up the "flash-bang" holster, kept on the body. One potential issue is practicing with it, it rides right at the 180* line (worn across the body) So drawing at a public range may not be allowed.
Oh and WELCOME! If you are 2A friendly, you are welcome here.

Welcome. I would like to visit Nashville.
I gotta call BS on this one until someone reputable meets you in person. "I am a fun lesbian that has all the same interests as you guys". Sure sounds like a catfishing scheme to me. Some guys cyber wet dream right. I don't want to discourage you or push you away from the group if you are real, but I don't believe this for one second. I will even put my money where my mouth is. If I am wrong feel free to contact me when you move to Colorado and I will buy you a box of 50 rounds of plinking ammo for that .40 of yours. If this is a made up profile I really hope you are some overweight hairy guy just being wierd and creepy because I find that funny.

Lesbian terminology?
You want to put your money where your mouth is...make it a 1,000 rounds of 5.56mm and you're on. Put some REAL money on it little boy. Until then keep your rude ass comments to yourself.
Looks like I got her just in time! [popcorn]

Wow. I need to keep a better eye on the new member area. On the other hand, this has been a good read...[ROFL1] You can quite obviously take care of yourself, which is good because a few folks here have a tendency to push a little harder than I think they would in person. And then there are a few who'll do that in person or not. But most everyone here is relatively like minded, and good folks.
But, I digress...welcome! That was quite the first post, don't think I've ever seen one quite like it either. But I have to give you credit; you were very up front and clear. Nice AR, too. You do realize, they're like potato chips....you can't have just one. Well, maybe now with the current legislative environment, not to mention what they COST now, you could.
I fear Patrick was right; the Colorado you're going to is not the Colorado it once was, and I think it's liable to get worse. My wife was born and raised there, and had not lived anywhere else until we moved to New Mexico not long ago; and she's not sure she wants to go back now. So temper your expectations, would be my advice. And yes, if you can live up in the mountains, best place to be.

I had an AR-10 for a little while, but wound up selling it when I moved. Kind of wish I hadn't, but such is life.
I think the Remington 700 idea is a good one. They are a lot like the AR in that you can get anything for them, tweak and/or dress them up, all sorts of parts availability. That was what I went with too; I picked up a first year production .308 700 PSS with the adjustable HS Precision stock and put Leupold mil-dot glass on it. I may rebarrel it with an Obermeyer M24 barrel, but other than that and possibly having a Sako style extractor put on it I think it's good.

picture update on the 870. it only took me 20 times of reading the online pdf to figure out how to get the forend to slide back in and lock. lol.
I am on a few local forums here in nashville, and you won't believe the # of pm's i get with date requests, sex requests, penis pictures, and other lewd crap from guys on the forums when I introduce myself and they somehow think because I'm a girl I want to see their junk! [facepalm]
so I decided to change my approach. I'm not a man-hater by any means, but posts like the rude one from Scogin don't help any. I'm just a woman that is attracted to women. that's all. :)
I will stick with my one AR-15. I would like an AR-10, but prices will need to drop drastically before I can justify one of those. Thinking about a Remington 700 chambered in .308 for my long rifle acquisition. unless of course there's any other suggestions?
Dang.... [ROFL1]
A lot of desperate men out there I guess... to funny, but yet pretty creepy knowing dudes do that type of sh*t.
As a friend told me "Keep your head up and carry a big stick!" [Beer]
Haha, I still say this was a catfishing scam the whole time. See ya fake profile.
