We were just driving home from dinner and talking about the current situation when out of nowhere our 9 year old daughter says "Colorado is kind of like the titanic and we've already hit the iceberg, people will get off if they can but no one will come to help".

She's smart. Public schools? I hope her teachers wouldn't hold a comment like that against her.. so many would nowadays...

Home school last year after a nasty teacher who disliked her for no reason, okay maybe it was comments like that... Public school this year but I think we'll go back to home school next year permanently, I miss the kids and we've found they don't get as much education being in school for 7 hours a day as they do at home for 3 concentrated hours a day.

That is one very smart young lady. Clearly evidence of great parenting.

Most kids her age could overhear adult conversations and not understand anything more than the anxiety behind them. Your daughter is both perception and possesses an intelligent analytical mind. Her potential is unlimited.

Sadly though, this means all of the lesser children she encounters, those easily indoctrinated into the brainwashing of "progressive" ideologies, will not readily accept her because she maintains the ability to think for herself. She'll need lots of family support as she grows older.
