Looks like those gun laws REALLY helped out, didn't they CA?
They won't let facts get in the way of their agenda. They'll conclude that they haven't done enough and this indicates that they need to punish the law abiding further.

I don't know if these types of murders are increasing in frequency or if the media is just focusing on them more but it really seems like the wild west out there right now. All the more reason we need to maintain our arms...
The media is highlighting every incident. Gun crime is at its lowest point since the '60s. You're much more likely to die from something other than a gun.

I moved from Orange County. Gun control there is crazy. You have to register every gun you have. Every law there doesn't help.

ABC ran a piece on McCready not focusing on all of her mental health issues or that she had threatened suicide, but the fact she shot herself. Then proceeded to preach about gun violence for 30 seconds.
The media has been all over anything gun related. Gangbanger shoots an innocent in a park, while it sucks that it happens, I don't understand how shootings in NY, Chicago, DC, any city in CA, have anything to do with local news, or really how it is even considered national. Then again when you see all these reports for those places it does paint a pretty clear picture what all their laws have done to curb gun crime.
I grew up in So. Cal. And by the time you reach your teens you know at least a couple if not several people that have been shot. Just recently two of my cousins were shot and one was killed. Several of my childhood friends have been shot and many of them killed.
In all of the instances where someone I know was shot the shooting was often premeditated due to gangs and or drugs. My cousins that were shot were shot because the oldest cousin was in an opposing gang as their next door neighbor and they had been at war for some time. A couple weeks ago the neighbor knocked on their door and when my cousin opened the door the neighbor shot him in the head and killed him, the neighbor then went into the house and gunned down the cousin he had been at war with.
There are no gun control laws that would have prevented my cousins murder. In fact quite the opposite applies, had it not been for all of the anti gun bullshit my aunt might not have been deathly afraid of guns an had a firearm in her home that she could have used to at least protect her other son who was also shot and spent a great deal of time fighting for his life.
