Hi all,
I just wanted to take a moment to introduce myself. I had heard of the forum before, but decided to join when I heard about it again while I was at Bowers Tactical today. I'm in my 30's, have a small family, have lived here in Colorado for 13+ years, and have been a firearm owner for about 10 years.
While my enjoyment for shooting never left, it's been a few years since I was as interested in it as I am now. Clearly the situation in Colorado has brought gun ownership to the forefront of the news, and that probably has influenced my passion. Some may call it bandwagoning, I call it some form a ADD! In any case, I have been entrenched in firearm research for the past few weeks and am really interested in my current firearms, new firearms like the AR-15 platform, survivalism concepts, and am intrigued (I think that's the word I want to use here) by CCW's.
Outside of that, I love to go off-roading, camping, skiing, racing motorcycles, and spending time with my wonderful family. In a perfect world you get to do all of these things but of course there is always a balance. Plus eventually the money runs out. :)
Perhaps this a bit of a long intro, but I wanted to start out on a solid foot with this group. The last thing I would like to mention is I try to live by this philosophy: It's good to have strong opinions and strong convictions, but it's wise to have strong listening skills. I don't always listen as well as I should (I'm working on that "wise" part), but I assure all of you I will always try to listen. In a forum of this nature there are bound to be a myriad of opinions, and I look forward to exchanging them with the members here.
Best Regards,
Jamie
