Gun Control Laws, were the ones who had to actually confiscate a firearm related item, instead of passing the responsibility on to your local LE. Do you think we would see any reasonable gun laws at all? [LOL]

Do you think we'd see half the bills proposed if they were the ones that had to enact them?

Nope, the "leadership" likes to enact baloney other people have to enforce.

Fixed it for you.

There is a Ned Stark quote just waiting to burst out of this thread.

Touche. Perhaps another thread with that wording, probably elicit more "responses". Wonder if NoCO could secede, better yet I-25 E/W as a dividing line. Some of you guys would need to get PO boxes in timnanth;)

Fine, I'll do it.

Democrats remind me of Joffrey Baratheon.

It's one thing when they tell you what you can and cannot have, it's another how they make sure you don't have what they don't want you to have.

It's kind of a bullshit question that skips around the problem entirely. Do you suggest that Republican legislators stand shifts at the courthouse to tell gays they can't get marriage licenses, or go on drug busts, or flip the switch on an execution?

I'm way more concerned about legislators writing themselves exceptions to laws. But to suggest that the only way a law can be valid is to have the legislators personally enforce it is a pretty silly fantasy.

I am actually moving to Timnath.

I'd rather they just pass the Enumerated Powers Act at the federal level, followed by a similar act at the State level. Essentially, if you can't point to a specific passage in the Constitution granting you the authority to pass this legislation, you don't get to even present it.

Timnath Ranch neighborhood, south of Harmony just east of the Walker plant. Would love to get something with some land but that is not affordable right now.

Unfortunately, yes, I believe we'd see at least half the legislation continue to pass if they had to live by OR enforce it because a large number of the legislators passing this crap believe religiously (i.e., faith without any proof or evidence or logic) that guns are evil and would be only too happy to be out there taking your gun out of your hands and tossing it in the shredder.

What did you expect? "Welcome, sonny"? "Make yourself at home"? "Marry my daughter"? You've got to remember that these are just simple farmers. These are people of the land. The common clay of the new West. You know... morons.

I was thinking of bringing that up, but I was beaten to the punch... now that's the real question! Such as Chris Holbert being quoted as saying "I don't do it, but I know there are legislators in the CO General Assembly who CCW..." Oh but wait, I thought only LE was allowed to carry firearms in the Capitol... [facepalm]
