This is a message for Standley Lake parents.

The school is currently on lockout because police are investigating suspicious items found near the school’s soccer field.  All students and staff are safe at this time.  We will update you with more information as it becomes available.

Thank you.

Sigh, what's up with all the random bullshit coming from SLHS? I graduated from there and I live nearby.

Potential threat? Check.

Lockdown school with students inside and no one to defend them? Check.

Notify parents who can then proceed to worry? Check.

Fuckin' liberals and their "safety" plans.

They got me on the worry thing.
Now they think the firearms may have came from a home that got robbed close to the school.... safes people!

My old school. With where the field is, could imagine some dumb hoods or something in the area leaving it for someone? Or I can't imagine what circumstance someone would leave that around.
Got locked out too many times, aside from the glass cafeteria, that place can be locked down pretty decently. (for a school.)

I'm next to the first bank center. All this stuff lately seems to be happening around here.

my kids were on lockdown last week. There was a disgruntled milk delivery man that has a few schools on his route. And they were "worried"

I know I wear a tin foil hat sometimes, but I find it awfully convenient that with all the push for new gun laws that there are a "bunch" of new/strange gun things happening lately

^^^ sounds pretty logical to me. Hopefully the firing pins are removed.

They were probably stolen by some anarchist from the occupy denver movement and purposefully left on school grounds to help make the case for public disarmament.

But then again my tinfoil might be too tight.

How about cops doing their job and keeping the hoodlums from breaking in.

A mother of a student there works with me. She started telling us about the text's she was getting from her son. Myself and another employee just kept cracking jokes about it. Saying things like "How is that possible?!! It's a gun free zone! This just doesn't add up."

Quoted for truth, and the reason we homeschool our kids, so they're not in a "free crime zone"
So now Holder wants to go after that [facepalm]

How about cops doing their job and keeping the hoodlums from breaking in.

So cops are now omniscient and omnipotent? They are everywhere at all times, and stop crime from happening?
Last time I checked, they're just humans... unless you're talking about the whole criminal justice system not letting out criminals because they're full- but that's not the fault of "cops"

Only 22 posts before someone went full retard. Not bad.

No kidding, I have respect for the police, but take personal responsibility for your belongings and their security!

I wonder if the guns walked there on their own? Could they be mentally ill? They obviously just wanted a better education and to learn how to read since the couldn't read any no firearms signs. Could be foreign guns needing to be in ESL.
