For the coming debate in the CO Senate, I was thinking it would be get to have some great witnesses. One of the best I've heard is Amanda Collins. She was a student at a University in Nevada and had a CCW, but was not able to carry on campus. She was raped on campus. The more dramatic part is that the offender went on to rape three (3) more young women and murdered the last one Brianna Denison.

Would anyone else be interested in chipping in for airfare to get her here to talk to the Senate?

I think she would be a great witness. She's been there and can speak to why it HB13-1226 should not pass.

I'll pitch in if we can get a guarantee that she'll make it in time.

It's a good idea.

Have you (or anyone) made contact with her yet? If not, it would be a good idea to contact her to be sure she is available and willing. The article on Fox said she is willing to testify wherever asked, but it should be confirmed directly with her. Then, of course, the plans to coordinate her trip needs to be developed - including payment for her expenses. It would also be important to make direct contact, in advance, with one of the Senators who will be hearing the bill, so that they can assure she will have a time slot allocated for her testimony.

I am willing to pitch in. Post, or PM, the details for sending a check.

What are the odds she'll be allowed to testify?

I'll be happy to pitch in substantially if she's available and willing and we can get someone sponsoring her so we can be sure she'll be heard.

I've reached out to her on LinkedIn and reached out to a couple people to see about getting in contact with her.
