I saw it(E.R.) a few months ago and it looks very aged. Film techniques and effects and acting. Just very dated. I had a hard time watching it all the way thru. When it came out it was "the shit", most cool movie for it's time.

Its the new stuff I don't watch, nothing original, just Shakespeare stories with the story line reorganized and he got the story ideas from the ancients.

It was not really a communist friendly piece. It was more along the lines total freedom, free love, drugs, and the open road. It showed respect for living off the land, working hard in order to live life on your terms. Classic line Jim. I remember the first time I saw that movie. I saw it in the theater at some artsy fartsy place near the local college. I had no clue what I was walking into. Friends just kept on telling me to go see it and would tell me nothing more about the film. After I saw it... I was like WTF did I just watch. It really was a movie that changed movies.

I have a copy on VHS too... that's one of my favorite movies. If you ask me it's 1,000,000 times better than the Nick Cage remake, and (some might hit me) I think it's a better chase scene than Bullitt.
