Does this mean I'm one of the gang now? lol. *sheepishly grins*

For whatever it's worth - the "primer" post yesterday wasn't a high-handed attempt at education for everybody, so much as just venting frustration. Had a PTA meeting earlier in the day re: the eldest daughter's downward trend in reading/math, and then I tried to slog through a few PM's of 3rd grade-level correspondence in an upcoming transaction... Didn't help my irritation that I was listening to a "special report" about guns on CPR at the time. Then as a nice little coup de grace to the whole thing, I unwittingly made a bit of a jackass out of myself by committing my own grammatical no-no in the post itself! lol.

Hey, at least I'm not stuck at "newbie/trading post troll" anymore. [Beer]

Hate to tell ya but that is the way it came across. Over the years we have had many that have stood on their soapbox and posted exactly what you did. Normally followed by errors. [handbags]

You are mistaken now but not in the "Primer" thread.

There is nothing wrong with using a preposition to end a sentence. Sometimes it is the best way to end a sentence.

Who among us has not made ourselves look like a douche on occasion? It is practically a requirement in this community. He has humbled himself, so let's give him a break, until he again decends into douchebagery, then smack him again as is only proper. So let it be written, so let it be done.

^ I thought it was a requirement, as stated!! But it is also a requirement when one humbles them self to beat em down! < That is also a requirement, no?

Nah, I don't retract intentionally douchebagged statements. This just didn't happen to be one of those. :-)

"Naw... I don't think you're an asshole, Royal. Just kind of a sonofabitch."

"Well thanks, that means a lot."
