Comp-tac Infidel. Do not know anywhere local that stocks them though. (So this probably doesn't help you out.) I have always just bought from their website.

Awesome holsters, mag pouches and customer service.

Good luck finding a place you can try things out. I personally use DeSantis they have always been good to me. I have had an SOB holster for 7 years along with the belt they custom made for my skinny arse..LOL

As far as a place you can try stuff out good luck none exist as far as I know of. Most gun stores carry very little for CCW.

funny you should mention deSantis, that's what the other leather is that I use for my .45 :)

Daves guns used to be pretty good, but they sold out blaming people like you and me for the big box stores putting them out of business (what ever)

Sportsman's warehouse used to carry quite a bit, they've cut back on inventory big time. And IIRC, Neves only carries duty gear

What are you looking for? Kydex or Leather? Comp-Tac, Raven Concealment and Blade-Tech are my picks for Kydex, leaning far more towards Raven. For leather, K&D (long wait time though) and deSantis would be my picks. But yeah, you're hosed for being able to try any of it on. Though all three Kydex makers will gladly exchange any of the holsters.

I'm not a big fan of kydex, and as such have no recommendations for it. However, I have a good friend of mine who runs danddgunleather.com who makes a very excellent IWB leather holster. It's very rigid despite being leather, and holds the gun well. It's also the only IWB holster I've ever been able to wear comfortably for long periods of time. I have his T-Bar II holster, which works absolutely great.

Actually the Comp-Tac is pretty comfortable and stays in place. Hardly notice it when I wear that vs. the OWB.

I've had good luck with Galco for a full sized IWB 1911 holster. It wasn't cheap (about $80), but it fits like a glove and carries well just behind my hip. I forget the model name, but it's the one with the reinforced top to aid in re-holstering. It's a rough leather on the outside so that it "sticks" to your pants when drawing. I'm very happy with it, considering that I think "real comfort" is an airweight smith .38 on a galco ankle rig (something like 12 ounces for the gun). My 1911 is about 48oz... I think. :)

lapolicegear.com has a deal on galco holsters for free shipping (http://www.lapolicegear.com/galcoholsters.html?gclid=CIOYqdqF0JQCFQZinAod1jpfr w)and a galco cap right now. i've got the galco skyops iwb holster (http://www.lapolicegear.com/gaskinpaho.html) for my glock and it's really comfortable - i forget i'm wearing it, and with my build it disappears even under a t-shirt.

+2 on Galco.
I use the Skyops for my Commander and a RoyalGuard for my full size.

While I'm not fond of their prices - and most often not fond of their attitude, have you considered checking out Specialty Sports?

Since you're here in the Springs, I'm sure you know where they're located. They do seem to have the largest local/in-stock selection of cases/holsters/etc. I've seen.
