From Gun Rights Across American Colorado FB page:
"THE WORD. Here it is folks. I just got word that the four bills will hit the senate Monday. Heres the catch, we dont know if they will start at 9:30 or 1:30 but it is coming. On top of these bills, they will be introducing one or two more, maybe an assault weapons ban. If this is from John Morse sure makes me question why hes doing this. We need everyone to show up on Monday, early, like 9 or so. Prepare to spend the day, bring snacks, and stand up or they will take everything we have. Now, to prove my point. California is trying to pass a law to, get this, confiscate ALL semi auto firearms. If you have more then 500 rds of ammo you are violating the law. If someone lives in your house and cannot legally own a gun and you have a gun you are both felons. This is serious, we have to win here or we are in serious trouble. Make no mistake, they want us disarmed. You absolutely have to show up monday and be counted. The governor and antigunners have to see how serious and committed we are. I will give you more after our meetings on Friday. Make plans now to attend. Tell everyone you can. We will have youtube posted tomorrow afternoon. Make plans to be there, call me if you need to. DD"
From the website www.graac.webs.com (http://www.graac.webs.com)
"This is it!!! We need you at the Capitol for the Senate on Monday, March 4th.
Take the day off and bring as many people as possible to the Senate. They will be reading the 4 anti-gun bills and might also introduce NEW anti-gun bills even worse than the first ones. You do not necessarily need to testify, but we need a massive number of people to show their presence to oppose these bills.
The governor and Senators need to see that we will not tolerate this infringement of our rights and they will be voted out! We need to unite and show them that we are a strong force not to be ignored.
If there was anytime to show our unity, it is on this day. We need to make more of an impact on this day than all the rallies and events put together.
This is it. If they pass these bills, we will have lost.
Come to the Capitol and don't use parking meters because you will most likely be guaranteed to get a huge ticket since the meter will expire. Carpool and pay to use a parking lot. Bring a water bottle and snacks and plan to spend as much time as possible. Plan for a long day. If you cannot come for the whole day, come for as much as you can, but at least show up. Try to arrive no later than 9:00am.
It might cost you a vacation day or a sick day, but what is your freedom worth to you? What is the freedom of your children and grandchildren worth? Certainly at least one day off of work! We need you! Colorado needs you!"
Hearings start at 1:30 (13:30). 2 seperate committees hearing different bills. Divide and conquer.
The only reason to go down there is so that they can tell you to fuck off in person.

Our American freedom was not won having those kinds of attitudes. Yes, I agree that it feels hopeless, but we can at least fight until the end. What harm is there in trying? We need to encourage one another to keep fighting! If you have already given up, then please don't discourage others who might still have some fight left in their spirit. It's not over yet!
Don't give up! Who knows if you might be the one or two people who showed up that would tip the scales? Don't underestimate the power of one single person. There is strength in numbers. We need you! : )

Fmedges and milwaukeeshaker, if y'all truly feel this is a lost cause and a waste of time fine. Nobody twisting your arms to show up anywhere or do anything. But you don't do anyone any good crapping on people that are still trying to do something.
Instead of throwing wet blankets on people why don't you just head over to realtor.com and monster.com and start planning your exodus from Colorado while you STFU.
I will actually be in town for this. I will clear my schedule and head down.
Anyone (or 10) want to put together a well organized and cohesive message. i.e. 10 of us saying the same things in slightly different ways. Let me know and I will coordinate.

Or if he is feeling the heat will just run the clock and let them become law.

Pha America was won with guns blood and tears. Words on paper don't mean shit unless you are willing to kill and/or die for them.
Scary thought I know. But just look at the deaths in gun free zones or rapes in safe areas if you think otherwise.
Eta. I don't think less of people who do show up, quite the contrary. But one has to accept the fact that yea they don't give a Fuck what you say. They are willing to lose millions and approx 700 jobs from magpul. Given that how much stock will be given to a bunch of bitter clingers?

+1. Do what you want to make yourselves feel like you have a voice, but your pleas to your masters are not heard. I did not shit on anybody, I'm just pointing out the facts. If you'd like to make me STFU, I'm going to be at the Marine memorial this Saturday. Hope to see you there.
Some of these bills only passed by 1-2 votes in the house. Some dems DID swing. We neeed LESS to swing in the senate, and the outrage and impetus against these bills have been building.
No, it's not dead yet. It might be at the end of next week, but it isn't yet. There are definitely 3 possible swing votes. If the outrage "dies down" they may swing back.
The majority may not give a shit, but we only need 3.

Get real, it's a done deal. Sorry to rain on your parade. I don't like it either, but you have to face the real facts, it is hopeless. You guys are screaming at deaf ears. The Dems and Repubs have been waiting for the perfect storm for at least a decade, now they have it. These bastards are wetting their pants at the chance to disarm everybody incrimentaly, and this is the chance they have dreamed about. Do you really think 100, 500, 5000, 50,000, 500,000 of you are going to change their minds? If so, there's a fool born every minute.

Michael Brown is on 630 am now telling people to circle the capital Monday and honk horns in protest. Use occupy tactics against them, he's asking to make this viral!
If it really is *over* and things have already been decided - then there is no harm in turning up the heat a slight bit for 3 minutes while you are at the mike.
Call them out, tell them you know that they have already made up their mind and that this is a sham -- then tell them the consequences of their actions (politely and without any direct threat). Politely tell them that you believe they are sell outs and no longer representing the people. Politely tell them that they are taking east coast money at the expense of Coloradian's lives. Tell them that their east coast donors also support child rapists, drug addict politicians, and adulterers. Tell them that the gun control concept is patently a lie since there are guns protecting them every day -- so obviously, by their own logic and admission, they only want *their* people to have guns, then remind them that *their* people probably really don't like their politics all that much. Tell them that they are ignorant about how a gun works - and that that they are not experts just because their $450/hr lobbyist and lawyers gave them a power point presentation while they were drafting the laws. Tell them that just because Field's son made poor decisions and chose to join a gang, that he paid the consequences for his actions (by being shot by other gang members) -- and that the rest of us should not be punished for his poor choices or Field's poor parenting skills.
If you really believe that its over then use the time to call them on their lies - directly. NICELY. CALMLY. Be absolutely polite and perfectly factual. Use their own tactics against them.
RULE 1: “Power is not only what you have, but what the enemy thinks you have.” Power is derived from 2 main sources – money and people. “Have-Nots” must build power from flesh and blood.
RULE 2: “Never go outside the expertise of your people.” It results in confusion, fear and retreat. Feeling secure adds to the backbone of anyone.
RULE 3: “Whenever possible, go outside the expertise of the enemy.” Look for ways to increase insecurity, anxiety and uncertainty.
RULE 4: “Make the enemy live up to its own book of rules.” If the rule is that every letter gets a reply, send 30,000 letters. You can kill them with this because no one can possibly obey all of their own rules.
RULE 5: “Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon.” There is no defense. It’s irrational. It’s infuriating. It also works as a key pressure point to force the enemy into concessions.
RULE 6: “A good tactic is one your people enjoy.” They’ll keep doing it without urging and come back to do more. They’re doing their thing, and will even suggest better ones.
RULE 7: “A tactic that drags on too long becomes a drag.” Don’t become old news.
RULE 8: “Keep the pressure on. Never let up.” Keep trying new things to keep the opposition off balance. As the opposition masters one approach, hit them from the flank with something new.
RULE 9: “The threat is usually more terrifying than the thing itself.” Imagination and ego can dream up many more consequences than any activist.
RULE 10: "The major premise for tactics is the development of operations that will maintain a constant pressure upon the opposition." It is the unceasing pressure that will result in the reaction of the opposition that is essential for the success of the campaign.
RULE 11: “If you push a negative hard enough, it will push through and become a positive.” Violence from the other side can win the public to your side because the public sympathizes with the underdog.
RULE 12: “The price of a successful attack is a constructive alternative.” Never let the enemy score points because you’re caught without a solution to the problem.
RULE 13: “Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.” Cut off the support network and isolate the target from sympathy. Go after people and not institutions; people hurt faster than institutions.
Rules 3, 4, 9, 11 and 13 are tactical and reaidly applicable to quick win interactions such as testimony. Look through those and develop some wording. I will be happy to help speech write with you.

Actually he was a witness and steped up to the plate as a witness, A Hit was put on him from prison, he paid with his life.
Read the police report. I spent my money and got it. He was in a gang. The way I read it he was pleeing out for another crime.
Javad was at a gang related party in a park where heavy drugs were present and a deal went down bad. The sellers shot up the place, killed a friend of Javad's, and shot Javad twice.
Would love to see that toxicology report from the day he was brought into the ER. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.
But even then it doesn't matter. They make up lies about us.
Wow, I was reading through these posts and was surprised at the number of people who seem to think surrender is a first strike weapon. I am a simple guy but it seems to me that when we do nothing we are comfortable with the current events. Well I am not comfortable with the current events at all. I plan on going to the capitol on Monday, I may say my piece and go home. There are lots of things I could do on Monday besides go to the capitol. Everyone of us will choose to do what is the most important to us on Monday or what causes the least discomfort. Thank you to those members who show up. If I am doing whats I believe is right I couldnt care less what the odds are.

I'm pretty fucking sickened, frankly, by the roll over and take it in the ass crowd as well. It might be a done deal, but I couldn't look myself in a mirror, let alone others, knowing that when I had the time, I didn't do a god-damned thing to try and stop the stripping of our rights.
The latest bullshit from Morse is going to be heard at 10:30; that has got to be the weakest of all of these proposals, and the easiest to attack. But if we can't even get people on a fucking website, dedicated to the AR15, then we are truly fucked.

Intelligent focus with deliberate intensity. Don't misdirect. This is the place for that verve that's why we're here!!
hearings now start at 10:30am
note time change
If someone from Ft. Collins is going, send me a PM, I'd like to carpool if possible.
You know what I'm pretty fucking sick of? All these assholes who are suddenly the sons of liberty now that they are personally affected from these gun laws. There have been plenty of times when the country needed you even though you weren't personally effected. Where the fuck were you then?
The defeatist attitude by some on here doesn't surprise me. When you have elected officials winning their seats by a quarter of the population's vote... all it shows is that people don't care. If they aren't going to get out and vote... they aren't going to take time to go to the capitol and be seen. People want their rights, as long as it isn't an inconvenience to fight for them. Do you really expect something different from those who immediately stand up and say they are gonna run, "I'm moving", as soon as something like this happens?
There are plenty more of us who will stay, stand up and fight! Even if the battle doesn't look winnable... I'm not waiving my little white flag! And I'm definitely not going to discourage others who want to fight!

But here it is`` Larry Wayne Thornton of Forsyth, Ga., sentenced to four years of probation for possession of an unregistered firearm and possession of a firearm without a serial number.``
So they have a criminal found guilty of a firearms crime and he is pardoned???? Yet they Rallie around their agenda to take away ours!!!!!!! Pretty much everyone. Talking shit online is pretty stupid in my opinion. As are confrontational emails and phone calls and getting in someones face and telling them how your going to kick their ass instead of actually punching them. Getting punched in the face isn't the end of the world and I'm just so tired of most people being tough when there are no consequences and being a huge pussy when there is. Just because people disagree doesn't mean you have to talk like your going to do something because lets be honest, more people are not. I grew up in an area where if you talked shit then you paid for it so this shit talking on a keyboard is just plain stupid. Lets be honest, I am an asshole most of the time but I am totally willing to meet someone and get my face punched in for it.

I'm talking more generally as to this board as a whole over the last lets say 4 weeks and really society as a whole. There are numerous times in this thread that I've been called a quitter and that I have given up. Make no mistake, I have given up on the belief that these hearings are anything more than a sham, but I am preparing my body and my mind and my gear to continue the fight literally. Carpooling is a great idea, especially since parking will be challenging. It is recommended to use an all day parking lot, rather than parking meters where you will be almost guaranteed to get a ticket, after the meter runs out (after 2hrs I think). Another idea is to park somewhere in the area like Cherry Creek mall and take a taxi to the Capitol.
ok, i will be tomorrow at the capitol for testify, I go from Colo Springs (close to Saint Francis Hospital) if someone need carpool let me know, i have 4 seats available.

They brought in the media whore Mark Kelly one who took the oath, and now disregards it,gets his 6k a month O6 pay , plus what he gets from NASA.. Please accept my apology for not being there.
I have lived near the Capitol for the past 5 years. I have seen many protests. Sometimes passing cars honk their horns in support of the protest.
I have NEVER heard so many horns in my life. Constant, nonstop, unending horns from vehicles passing and circling the capitol for hours. Maybe a dozen trucks are obvious protestors, but the majority are just ordinary citizens passing by and sounding their horns in support. I can hear it from a mile away. Pedestrians on the sidewalk near Colfax and Broadway are holding their ears. Suits walking up the steps of the capitol are looking around nervously. It is an impressive display and they cannot ignore our voice. If they choose to pass these bans, criminalizing our way of life, over the wishes of the People, they will clearly display that they no longer represent our interests and have no regard for our rights or freedom.
Well Fuck.... That's the second friend in a week that's blown a tranny.

No longer? They never have. They want your property, then when that is over with, they want you dead.
You forgot to say that they need to be removed from office either democratically or by force.

When law-abiding citizens start getting sentenced to prison for failing to comply with these unconstitutional laws, and after a few responsible gun owners with no criminal records are killed by law enforcement because they wanted to sell some guns to pay for car repairs or were reported for suspicion of owning prohibited items, I think the politicians who passed those laws will be in fear for their safety . . . and rightfully so.
WOW is it loud down here, glad I came...
Wife and I were down there picketing for a few hours. Great turn out and very loud. We had a few Libtards flip us off, and one guy next to us had a lib say, "if i had a gun, I'd kill you all." some of these Libs are out of control.

I think you might think hard about looking for new friends!

And they are supposed to be about compassion?
Why is this guy testifying? A Canadian, living in Canada?

No freaking idea. Then again isn't this why they refuse to erect a border fence? Lets let the Canadians vote too.

This will be going on until very late tonight so if you're not here hanging out in the listening rooms or hallways you need to be. Lets not be the ones who did nothing.
