Pro-2A vent: take someone not among the "usual suspects".

When you go to the Capitol, or any other pro-2A event, try if you can, to take someone that isn't a 45yr old white guy with a beard (disclaimer, I'm white, 46, w/hair on my face). When I have attended various rallies, it's like looking in the mirror and while I am PROUD of my race, we need to get some diversity in the mix when it comes to these events. Women, Asians, Hispanics, African Americans, Etc. If you plan to attend, and please do, try to take a friend or acquaintance who doesn't look like me - a middle-aged white guy. We need to show that interest in firearms stretches across racial, gender, and age barriers.

Women are great PR as well. Particularly those that can speak eloquently about the defensive advantages of firearms when faced with an assailant of greater size and physical strength.

I have a lot of friends who fall into the "minority" category. I'd take them but they aren't legally allowed to own firearms due to poor decisions they made as young adults.
