THE FENCE

If you ever wondered which side of the fence you sit on, this is a
great test!
If a Republican doesn't like guns, he doesn’t buy one.
If a Democrat doesn't like guns, he wants all guns outlawed.

If a Republican is a vegetarian, he doesn’t eat meat.
If a Democrat is a vegetarian, he wants all meat products banned for
everyone.

If a Republican is homosexual, he quietly leads his life.
If a Democrat is homosexual, he demands legislated respect.

If a Republican is down-and-out, he thinks about how to better his
situation.
A Democrat wonders who is going to take care of him.

If a Republican doesn't like a talk show host, he switches channels.
Democrats demand that those they don't like be shut down.

If a Republican is a non-believer, he doesn't go to church.
A Democrat non-believer wants any mention of God and religion silenced.

If a Republican decides he needs health care, he goes about shopping
for it, or may choose a job that provides it..
A Democrat demands that the rest of us pay for his.

I agree with all of the above the problem is you can't reason with unreasonable people i.e. libtards. After the first sentence their feeling take over shut their brains off and they start worring about Gaia or some other dumbass thing like who will save the fuzzy bunnies....

How would this poem read if the topics were drugs, pornography, abortion, same-sex marriage, and welfare?

its ok to bump old threads.

or maybe the mods could just delete all threads older than two hours, or two days or two weeks. then every thread would be fresh and there would never be a repost and never have to search before posting. That might be the answer to it all. Delete all threads right after they are started.

I'm not in favor of any of those things, but banning them is not the solution.

How would this poem read if the topics were drugs, pornography, abortion, same-sex marriage, and welfare?

Fair enough question for the first three topics:

If a Republican wants to use recreational drugs, s/he finds a dealer and buys some quietly,
If a Democrat wants to use recreational drugs, s/he calls it medicinal while protesting for legalization and then a public assistance program to provide it.

If a Republican wants to look at some pornography, s/he rents or buys some and views it in private at home,
If a Democrat wants to look at some pornography, s/he creates a college course for credit and demands it be funded by taxpayer dollars and even shown in public schools as "education".

If a Republican wants an abortion, she goes and gets one in private.
If a Democrat wants an abortion, she demands taxpayers fund clinics and assistance programs in the name of gender equality, sexual freedom and feminine health.

I'd like to say if a Republican wanted same sex marriage, s/he would move to France or Sweden but most Republicans I know are either against it or ignore it.

I don't know too many people on welfare and almost none who are Republicans so can't comment on that one either.
