Tomorrow, March 3, state Senator Jeanne Nicholson will be hosting a town hall meeting that is open to the public and it is critical that you attend it. Please note, the time and location have recently changed.

When: Sunday, March 3
Where: Conifer High School Cafeteria, 10441 Hwy 73 Aspen Park
Time: 1:30 p.m.

State Senator Jeanne Nicholson is a key vote to stopping the draconian anti-gun legislation being heard in two Senate committees this upcoming Monday, March 4 and she needs to hear from you this Sunday.

Please attend state Senator Nicholson’s town hall meeting tomorrow and respectfully urge her to oppose the following bills:

House Bill 1224 (http://www.nramedia.org/t/1225690/84180393/21948/0/) – Bans magazines with a capacity greater than fifteen rounds. (Passed by a 34-31 vote in the House)

House Bill 1226 (http://www.nramedia.org/t/1225690/84180393/21943/0/) – Repeals current law allowing individuals with a concealed carry permit to carry a firearm for self-defense on a college or university campus. (Passed by a 34-31 vote in the House)

House Bill 1228 (http://www.nramedia.org/t/1225690/84180393/21949/0/) – Imposes a “gun tax” for a background check when purchasing a firearm. (Passed by a 33-32 vote in the House)

House Bill 1229 (http://www.nramedia.org/t/1225690/84180393/21950/0/) – Criminalizes the private transfer of a firearm. (Passed by a 36-29 vote in the House)

Senate Bill 196 (http://www.nramedia.org/t/1225690/84180393/22608/0/) – Holds all manufacturers, distributors and owners of any semi-automatic or pump-action rifle that they may produce, sell or use, liable if that gun is misused to harm another person. This is a backdoor to banning legal firearms and is in direct violation of the federal Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act!

If you are unable to attend this event, please contact Senator Nicholson and respectfully express your opposition to HB 1224, HB 1226, HB 1228, HB 1229 and SB 196 and ask how she plans on voting on these measures.

Why does it seem to be SOP to change the venue of.these.meetings at the last minute?

so they can duck the hard questions.

if they know a bunch of people are coming to oppose or ask tough questions, they just move the venue at the last minute.

Awesome! Thanks for the info. I hope to see millions of pro-gunners there, or at least HUNDREDS.

Having a good showing here is critical! Her last town hall had mainly pro gun people, and only three anti's that I heard speak.

She appreciated manners, don't boo or jeer at the anti's, that went a long way with her. If your wives/girlfriends/sisters/mothers etc can attend I'd highly suggest they speak up when she takes comments!

This Is happening today people . Please try to take time from your busy Sunday and attend . Lets be respectful , but still let Mrs Nichols how we feel about the haphazardly introduced Bills that are based on emotions , and NOT facts .

Hope to see you there

I just got home from this event. My wife and two sons went with me. I was very pleased with the turnout. The senator wasn't answering question this time. This event was for people to speak their minds. There were a few anti's supporting the bills but they were far and away outnumbered by those who are opposed. If she listens to the people, there is no way she can vote for the bills. I bet she will though. Am I cynical? Maybe. A realist? For sure.
