When we receive a "Friendship Request", exactly what does that do if we accept or deny it?? What is the advantage? I believe I did accept such an offer some time ago and I started getting a bunch of notifications of that friend making numerous posts, most of which I was really not interested it. By refusing to be a "Friend" of someone, will that give a feeling of rejection or being unfriendly to the requester?? Don't want anyone thinking I am an asshole for refusing their offer even though I may really be one.[blaster]

You are SO gonna hurt someone's feelings. You should be ashamed.

That's typically how I got the pre sale info or hot intel on goodies when one does not want to post it openly. Other than that, you get to see what's your 'friends' posts are. No biggie.

^this. Also lets me track who I have had positive interactions with wether it be in PM's or to deals. Usually I have had more than thread interactions with someone that I have added to my buddy list.

If you accept it, you can communicate with that fat Russian dude claiming to be a hottie from Alabama who just needs your credit card number so she can go get some "private" photos made for you ...

Bob, quit trolling for new friends. [Flower]

There should be an on/off button for notifications. I have never received any. Friend posts do appear in the "My Profile" section.

I got a friendship request once from the guy in the next bathroom stall over. He waved his hand under the divider and pointed to the "friendship hole". I'm assuming we were supposed to pass notes of friendliness back and forth through it?
