I have 2 staff positions I have to fill, figured I'd offer them up here to the members. If you know someone looking for work that might fit this bill, pass it along to them as well.

NEEDED: 2 Back-end PHP Programmers

We are looking for an individual with experience in complex PHP development. This person should have strong multi-tasking skills, the ability to work as part of a team and a strong desire to self-impose quality control.
This person is focused on extending frameworks and writing custom code for complex and custom functionality requirements for some of the nations top e-commerce retailers and brands.

Requirements:

Strong experience with the PHP programming language or similar object-oriented programming.
Experience with MVC frameworks. Zend Framework or Magento experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of OOP, class inheritance and scope.
Working knowledge of MySQL database structures, queries, indexes and keys.
Experience utilizing AJAX within web-applications to dynamically update content.
Produce clean, well-formatted code, with proper inheritance for surviving platform upgrades.
Strong desire to learn new skills and traits. Open to peer code-review process for mutual improvement.

Be self-starting and deadline oriented.


Desired (but not required):

Proficient in the Magento platform, and creating custom modules.
Knowledge of jQuery, HTML5 and CSS3 (though that is a minor part of the job)
Experience with Git or Mercurial DCVS.
AS/BS/BA in Computer Science, Web Development, Computer Engineering
Cursory understanding of Linux servers, software and settings for hosting websites.
Previous completed projects integrating and/or establishing EDI between different software and systems.
Working knowledge of Prototype.


This is a full time opening, with benefits after 90 days of full-time employment. Salary is $55k-$80k depending on experience, education and qualifications.

Yes, more or less. We are looking to fill two positions in the same role. However we could probably live with one candidate more Senior and one more Junior that can be trained to the level we are looking for.

The same as one of them. That posting was for 2 different positions. We filled both. We had one of our older back-end programers leave recently, and need to fill his spot, plus we have decided to add an additional person to the team.

Direct hire as employee or could you do contract persons? I know a company that can probably provide persons who fit the requirements.

I can use contractors, but not looking to go through a staffing firm for contractors. Also, some of the "desired" would become "required" for contractors.
