OK Guys....

I know things have not worked out so far today, but all along, the "thought" was that we had our best chance of stopping these things in the full senate, not in a hand-picked committee.

For those of you who are connected, how are the numbers stacking up? Do we have D's who will vote against these bills? Tochtrop? Jahn?

I don't have much hope for my own Senator, Evie Hudak, who was aptly described as looking like Jabba the Hutt during today's hearings.

I talked to Nancy Todd today and she stated that she was on the fence still. I believe she is leaning towards gun control but she did ask some decent questions and seemed truly wanting to educate herself. If you live in Aurora in Senate district 28, now would be a very very very good time to write her and express you concern about these bills.

So far we do not have the vote for anything.. Keep in contact with your reps and be respectful.. The ones that are anti or on the fence have been using hostile responses as further reasons to pass these bills. there will be time to air grievences in the next elections.

Yesterday was the dems making it look like they are caring and open enough to listen. They didn't hear a word we said. If you noticed, we sent up professionals, experts to testify, what did they send up? Emotional testimony. With nothing based in fact only feelings and heart felt knee jerk reactionaries. We sent up educated people, LEO's with facts and data. They sent up people wgho weren't even from this state. Why or how, could they feel that Giffords should be able to have ANY say in this state and oiur laws? They are all set, they know what they are going to do. It's a done deal. No, we don't just lay down and let them. This will all be accountable either in the elections or law suits.

Liberals do not care one iota for people. They only care about power and controlling people. The feds are uparming the Dept. of Homeland Security while attempting to disarm the citizenry. The globalist Liberals will be looking at marshal law, probably right around 2016 election time. They will create enough chaos to cause citizen uprising near election time and then claim there is too much turmoil to have an election and Obama will remain POTUS.

Just one thought of what is coming.

Great summary.

Chance? Slim. I think there is a good possibility that Hickenlooper wants to sign 3 or 4 and veto one. There might be one or two defeated in the Senate.

Universal background checks, restraining order firearm forfeiture, and no on-line CCW training are probably locks. The liability bill and the College CCW are the two that I think will be veto'd or fail in the senate. Even the Dems realize how bad those two bills are. HB1224 is the wild card. I think Hick will sign it, but there are 3 to 5 senators who are either on or near the fence. We have 3 days to convince them to side with Colorado instead of Bloomberg.

Keep writing and calling your senators! And don't forget to email Hick while you are at it!

You don't have to email Ken Lundberg, he's already on our side. :)

I will keep emailing, mailing and calling but I know it will do little to no good. The Marxists have already made up their minds.

The mentality we are fighting:

Legalize marijuana in opposition to federal law
Provide 'in state tuition' to illegal aliens that have violated federal law
Fail to penalize criminals to any meaningful degree
Saddle taxpayers with subsidies for 'green' industries

Penalize, restrict, infringe the rights of law abiding citizens
Penalize, tax, infringe upon businesses that provide products/services they don't like

These Democrats care nothing for the citizens they supposedly 'represent'. They only care about expanding government, increasing control, reducing freedom and destroying the Constitution and Bill of Rights. These people are Marxists and communists.

Well said, losttrail. I, like you, will keep doing whatever I can to fight for my rights. Hope others do the same.

Michael Bane's blog aptly describes what we went through on Friday and Monday. Includes links to the 4 Senators who are key to the votes...
