Ladies and Gentlemen,
We cannot allow this to stand. If you'll pardon my rhetoric (and puns), for just a few moments. . .
We all know Colorado is the front-line in the Anti-Gun battle. The present Federal Administration has sent their representatives to bribe, cajole and elbow-twist their agenda through on a State Level.
I understand those of you who feel disappointed and fatalistic. I, myself, have gotten to the point that the politicians, and significant number of the residents of this state have pushed me to the point where I now am considering leaving.
But, the issue is greater than just Colorado.
Our state is the vanguard of the Anti-gunner's thrust. In this case, the term "As goes Colorado, so goes the country."
We have to fight back. It's as simple as that. If not for your state, then for your country.
We must initiate recall elections on every state-level politician who voted against us. The process is not easy, but it is also not insurmountable.
It means we must enlist the aid of the national gun-rights organizations, and we must convince them that the forward edge of the battle area is HERE. They must help both logistically and financially.
We have to dig these politicians out and make it so damned expensive and so difficult for them to maintain office that every other politician on a state- and national-level will be forced to think twice about voting anti-gun, if they are wavering at all.
The mechanics of such a recall are beyond me. I'm not a lawyer. But if we don't slap the dog on the nose for piddling in the house now, the floodgates will come open. If we slap hard enough, the other dogs in the neighborhood will take notice.
I'll get off my soapbox, for now. . .but please, we have to do something. Don't just give up or go away.
