Dear Friends,
Thank you to all those who came down to the State Capitol in support of our Second Amendment right on Monday. I was proud to see so many of you down here, patiently waiting and following procedure in order to testify in front of one or both of our Senate Committees hearing seven gun bills.
Monday was a hectic day: there were hundreds of people here, most signed up to testify on at least one bill, and we had incredibly short time limits to work with for public testimony. I want to apologize to all of you that took time out of your day to come down here and voice your opinions, where inevitably your voices were not heard.
These seven gun bills are now headed to the Senate Floor on Friday, March 8 for Second Reading. During this process, all of the 35 elected Senators will debate the bills. Therefore, I am reaching out to all of you who had incredible stories, personal pleas, and concerns to share but never got the chance to.
Please send me your stories! E-mail me all of your personal stories relating to these bills, why they are wrong, and I will work to represent you and read some of your testimonies on the Senate Floor on Friday.
