MR 4000 Has any body loaded this powder? The load data suggests about a 150-200 fps gain on heavy 300 winnie loads . Man i love that speed gain , Just looking for some in sight on this powder thank you

Alliant should have named it reloder 20, or something like that. From a marketing standpoint, they killed it with a name that is way different than the rest of their line. I looked around and there isnt much info out there. If you needed powder for a 300win, and that was all you could find, then I'd get some, but there are other powders just as good with more data.

Does not really seem to be any different from Hodgdon's H1000 to me. Not sure I see that much difference.

The load you point to is a compressed load that is well under max in pressure. (Which is the kind of load that does well in my rifle in general) Look more closely. Look at the other bullets in the 180 grain class in Hodgdon's data, such at the Speer's where one goes to 3042 in the data. All within margins of error. Or the IMR 7828 or the H100V powders which are in the same ball park.
