We are currently in the lead at nearly 85%! Keep hitting it hard though and email your senators to show them! They like to use polls as statistics to represent the voice of Colorado... well there are some poll numbers for ya!

Yeah, read the poll for Sequester.. They like to word every poll they ever put up so that basically no matter what you choose it still meets their agenda.

How about this poll: http://www.collegian.com/2013/02/28/ascsu-senate-addresses-concealed-carry-ban-ramride/

Addressing the senate, Belshe discussed the results of a student voice survey ASCSU conducted over a period of two days on the Lory Student Center Plaza last week.

The survey asked students a series of questions on whether or not they support banning concealed weapons on campus. Out of the 579 students who responded, 79 percent said they opposed any ban of concealed weapons on campus.

It would be worth mentioning to any Senator you call/email.

I just voted and the results were definitely switched within the last 5 min. The Yes more safer, had a clear margin of votes.

Senate also ratified a vote on last week’s resolution deciding if ASCSU would oppose a bill currently making its way through the state legislature that would ban concealed carry weapons at public universities.

Two weeks ago, ASCSU conducted a two-day student opinion survey on the Lory Student Center Plaza.

The survey asked students a series of questions on whether or not they support banning concealed weapons on campus. Out of the 579 students who responded, 79 percent said they opposed any ban of concealed weapons on campus.

After last week’s resolution passed on a 14-4-1 vote, ASCSU director of governmental affairs Lindon Belshe delivered a letter Monday evening to the state legislature that had been crafted by ASCSU Vice President Joe Eden, voicing opposition to the concealed carry bill on behalf of the CSU student body.

“I would like to inform this body that the majority of students at Colorado State University oppose any ban placed on the legal possession of a concealed weapon on the CSU-Fort Collins campus,” Eden wrote in the letter.

CSUPD Chief wendy goldwhatever her hyphenated name is is a major voice for CCW BAN. Combined with the CSU Board and hand wringing "educators", don't be surprised if they push for CCW ban no matter the outcome of a CO vote.

So, as expected they will vote against the people that will be most affected by the vote (the CSU students).

Do you support a bill in the legislature to ban concealed firearms from Colorado's college campuses? (http://www.denverpost.com/breakingnews/ci_22717122/colorado-gun-bills-senate-committee-takes-up-bill)

Yes. It would make college campuses more safe.http://extras.mnginteractive.com/live/std/polls_results.gif 437 Votes, or 12.17 %
No. It would make college campuses less safe.http://extras.mnginteractive.com/live/std/polls_results.gif 3120 Votes, or 86.93 %

So is anyone taking this to the capitol today to show senators? Not that they would honestly listen, but still.

As a college student, I can tell you that I feel much safer allowing guns on campus! In fact, that's part of why I'm in the process of getting my ccw. If people had guns at any of the mass shootings that occurred, the bastards who try to shoot innocent people may have actually been stopped.

This is the exact opposite of what was up yesterday. Looks like someone with an agenda has manipulated the poll. Can't trust no one no more.

What do you mean by this is the exact opposite of what was up yesterday? I took a screenshot early on in the poll and the wording, choices, etc... are all the same today as then. The only difference is our margin has grown from around 84% to closer to 88% today.

maybe there is some good old fashioned cynicism creeping in, but the legislative body doesn't seem to give two fucks about what the people say or want in this matter.

Laws aren't enacted because of how you feel, they are enacted because politicians think it will get them more votes during subsequent elections.

Ahem... the poll! We were up to almost 87% before last night. Now we are down to about 85% and falling. Libs hitting the poll hard today.
