I have been looking around online for ammo and reloading info and have found nothing except practice rounds at $9 a round. And I've come across 37mm.com but all the sites it talks about do not help. thanks any help would be great.[Swim]

40mm is MIL or LEO only. The 37mm is for CIV and you won't find much.

Join up with this site and ask away you will not find a group of people with more knowledge than these guys.

I would also advise you to be very careful about whom you get your load data from. This is a link to the site above about a guy who payed one hell of a price for getting bad load data off the net.

Warning very graphic pictures at the bottom of the page.

www.ammunitiontogo.com has smoke. I can tell you that military flares and such will not be cheap, 40-60$ each is common, if you can find it. You should be able to do better than 9$ a round for practice, though. I,ll check around.

you could get one of those 37mm to 26.5mm adaptors. that 26.5 stuff is cheap and plentiful. just an Idea.

Ammo is the main reason I have not picked up a 40mm. A "shorty 40" would look dern cool on my F/A M4, but ammo is hit and miss. I could shoot practice at our local shoot sites, but not smoke or flares(fire hazard). You could be into a .50BMG for what you would spend on a 40mm and have alot more shooting options with the various types of ammo out there.

Don't they make the 12-gauge adapters for the 37mm launchers? I know there's plenty, Hell lots of, 12-gauge flares, sparklers, etc. That's probably going to be your best option for plinking/fun/screwing around duties.

Just make sure not to put any 00-Buck through it. [Tooth]
