Cops and what not have them police taped off again this morning. 9news out there doing their thing.
Man what is going on over there.
wow, maybe they should hire armed security since clearly all their guns aren't shooting by themselves.
Maybe he's trying to get the show back....

Not sure, but after they publicized the lack of security there, not surprising.
Also, could just be that a bunch of firearms there needed to disappear off the books.
Maybe if the state banned burglary these types of things wouldn't occur.
When just anyone can go steal something, without even having to pass a background check, bad things happen.

They're not going to take away burglary, but just limit it to once a month per establishment now.

Ouch. IRS search warrant.
I wonder if they're going to be on 'I almost got away with it' next.
So it seems to me like they were not robbed a second time, they're just under IRS control right now, so they put up the yellow tape a second time...

If its the IRS couldn't it still be a second robbery?

Here's your answer:
“What this bill does is recognize if you choose the dangerous path of manufacturing, selling, acquiring or shooting one of these guns, you’ll be held to a very high standard of responsibility because you put all of us at risk,” Morse said.

Both of these statements are probably right on the mark.
From the news reports, it doesn't look like the IRS was seizing anything other than possibly their books and other financial documents.
While I have absolutely no love for Gunsmoke because of their shady business practices, I've got to wonder if this investigation started because they were a high profile gun store, or if there was legitimate reason to believe the Gunsmoke owners haven't been claiming all of their income properly, or both.

“What this bill does is recognize if you choose the dangerous path of manufacturing, selling, acquiring or driving a Prius, you’ll be held to a very high standard of responsibility because you put all of us at risk,” Morse said.
Because the risk of fire and electrical shock is much higher. It puts the public and first responders at greater risk. I say ban them.

Considering how discovery portrayed them the handful times i watches as having tons of cash on hand it doesn't surprise me if they were broken into or investigated

*theory*
An insider gave them a heads up that an IRS warrant was coming down the pipes regarding certain items. With as many people that know that store, and as many people "know" about something like that in advance, I wouldn't be surprised.
Result: They panic about the incoming warrant, and decide it would be a convenient time for everything to be burglarized. You lose the obligation to produce if someone else stole it, right?
Timing is too coincidental. It takes IRS more than 9 days start to finish. Someone told.
My 2 cents as an investigator, if it matters.
According to your theory who burglarized the store?

I LOL, channel 7 just called it "Smoking Gun Gun Store"
From watching the show I don't think most of their employees could fit through a whole in the roof, a doughnut maybe, but they don't look too skinny.

The news I watched said the investigation had been ongoing for a couple of months, so it has nothing to do with the recent burglary.

Don't know. Under the concept it would have been an "inside" type. Not saying that's the case just saying it is a possibility. (innocent until proven guilty, thus advanced as a theory) From experience a lot of people do get a head's up. One local store here took 2,800 firearms home after he transferred them to himself - right before ATF terminated his license for missing firearms. Someone gave him a few days notice while he still held the license.
This would certainly be a lot more criminal, and thus, more unlikely than the norm, but I've seen a lot of desperate people do a lot of really stupid things. Some even on this site - for those that have been around a long time - desperate people do really, really stupid things quite often.
I remember both of those.[Flower] Your showing your age. [Coffee] And for the guys that have not been here since the dawn of time a staff member would never burn there own house down. [LOL] Just saying. [fail]

Quit talking about that house fire, you're making me interested. And I started lurking here about the time Mr. Prena signed up. Must have just missed it.

You take a guy who loved class 3 uzi's but does not like paying his mortgage. Insert bank foreclosure and the rest is history.
