Anyone have experience with this stuff?

I can't find a shelf life, and the calories per TBSP are low compared to real shortening. If it keeps, it might be a nice addition.
I hadn't heard of this before, but I would personally hesitate to add anything with partially hydrogenated oils to my storage. Trans fats do no favors for you, and they mess with your metabolism.

Depends on the trans fat... There are not absolutes with hydrocarbons.

Congratulations. You found a generic blurb about trans fats... It's about the carbon chain length as much as the hydrogens attached to it. You can have one of those supposed really good "unsat fats" with a grossly large carbon chain and still have coagulation issues if you eat enough of them. A short enough saturated hydrocarbon chain won coagulate regardless of fully hydrogenated or not.
Fats and oils are simply not "one is good, one is bad". It's more complicated than that. It's biochemistry.

And I am so glad that you are here.[Coffee] Also one needs to take in the stupid human factor. I know it goes against every story about what is and is not good for you but it needs to be thought about on a case by case basis.
Powdered Shortening
I have a few 2.5 cans of it. Like the small cans I have of "butter powder" I have not used it but have done some research on how if I need to. [Flower]

Okay. I'm not a biochemist, and can't claim any particular knowledge in that realm, so I'll bow to your authority on the matter. I hadn't realized there were more factors to it. :)
