“The time has come, America, to step up and ban these weapons. The other very important part of this bill is to ban large capacity ammunition feeding devices, those that hold more than 10 rounds. We have federal regulations and state laws that prohibit hunting ducks with more than three rounds. And yet it’s legal to hunt humans with 15-round, 30-round, even 150-round magazines. Limiting magazine capacity is critical because it is when a criminal, a drug dealer, a deranged individual has to pause to change magazines and reload that the police or brave bystanders have the opportunity to take that individual down.”

Well there goes my weekend plans.
given history, they should give out free beta mags to every deranged psycho. Then they wont bring nice reliable standard mags and when it fails on the third shot they are screwed.
I had a Colorado rep reply back to me saying something along the same lines. I replied back calling her out on it but never got a response.

Actually, many hi-cap mags, particularly extremely hi-cap drum mags, are unreliable and best used as nothing more than a range toy. From what I heard, MANY LIVES WERE SAVED because the Aurora shooter chose to utilize a novelty drum mag that jammed his AR . . . and, not being a responsible firearm enthusiast, he had no idea how to clear that jam so the rifle became useless.

Tags are due April 2nd I believe. Still haven't seen the section on CDOW for humans. I am wondering what preference points requirements are like

Oh man I love it! A lot of people like to defend against this by pointing out that the actual "high capacity" magazines are unreliable, or that it takes 1 sec to reload, or that people being shot at are running away, or that the shooter is behind cover. Not once have I seen anyone point out (and I'm glad I haven't) the fact that we are talking about a RIFLE.
What if the shooter is 300 yards away? At my most fit, I could run 300 yards in just under 58 seconds. Go ahead and rush that shooter during a mag change. He'll have time to smoke a 1/4 of a cigarette, reload, and still shoot you. Snipers don't seem to have an issue being rushed by targets with their bolt action rifles. Must be because they are hundreds of yards away.

People take game illegally all the time. Especially ducks. They don't use plugs and they use lead shot. We have a different name for these people. They're called 'poachers'. Poaches don't give a rats ass about rules and laws.
