Friend --
As we get Organizing for Action off the ground, we have a lot of decisions to make about how we structure ourselves and how we take action.
Those are decisions that supporters like you, who've been so important in building this movement, should make. On Wednesday, March 13th, volunteers in Fort Collins are hosting an Action Planning Session -- and you should be there.
This is your chance to get in on the ground floor of planning what OFA will do over the next few months.
Here are the details -- can you make it? (https://my.barackobama.com/page/event/detail/gskwlp)
[B]What: Action Planning Session in Fort Collins
Where: 827 Blondel St.
Fort Collins, CO 80524
When: Wednesday, March 13th
6:00 pm
http://assets.bostatic.com/images/email/RSVP_Button.png (https://my.barackobama.com/page/event/detail/gskwlp)
You'll be able to sit down with neighbors and help lay the foundation for your prospective OFA activities -- organizers will provide materials to guide the conversation, but they'll be turning over the brainstorming, creative thinking, and ambitious planning to you.
Whether you've been a part of the local grassroots movement in Fort Collins for years or you're just getting involved now, you have something to contribute to the conversation. Don't miss out on this opportunity to have a say in what happens next.
RSVP now for the Action Planning Session on Wednesday, March 13th:

Personally I think the entire NoCo COAR15 contingent show up and inform them on no uncertain terms about physics.
For every "Call to Action" there shall be an equal "Call to Action".
"Call to Action"?
Sounds sort of militant and threatening to me..........I wonder how the Larimer County Sheriff would view this activity?
We do not need to accept this shit here.
You can take your Socialistic Call to Action and shove it up your everloving ass..........

Organizing for what action exactly?
Sounds like subversive anti-government/terroristic conspiring going on to me. Probably needs a law enforcement (or even DHS) visit to ensure everything is on the up-and-up.
This can't be good for liberty or the traditional American way of life.
Seminars will include:
Using the Mainstream Media to sell lies as the truth
How to commit voter fraud without getting caught
Demonizing Firearms 101
How to get your gun-loving neighbor/family member convicted of a felony
Getting elected to public office with an extensive criminal history
Obamacare: Why the common people need it but we don't
Taxes: Tax only the rich (and everyone's rich)
Entitlements: Why you deserve them and how to increase them
The US Constitution is obsolete - how to bypass/ignore it to progress our agenda
Using "It's for the children", "If it saves just one life" and other phrases to get your way
Claiming racism to stop any disagreements in their tracks
Increasing Democratic Voters: Why Illegal Immigration is Our Friend
Jobs are for suckers: Why pay your own way when you can get others to do it for you
Why employment interfere's with your ability to push the Progressive agenda
Public Education: Brainwash 'em young
Just because your Rights are written doesn't mean they trump my made up ones

Organizing for Action (OFA) is a nonprofit social welfare organization (http://www.ar-15.co/wiki/501(c)_organization#501.28c.29.284.29) and community organizing (http://www.ar-15.co/wiki/Community_organizing) project in the United States, heavily affiliated with the Democratic Party (http://www.ar-15.co/wiki/Democratic_Party_(United_States)).[1] (http://www.ar-15.co/#cite_note-1) It is the successor of U.S. president Barack Obama's 2012 re-election campaign (http://www.ar-15.co/wiki/Barack_Obama_presidential_campaign,_2012) and of Organizing for America (http://www.ar-15.co/wiki/Organizing_for_America), which itself succeeded Obama's 2008 campaign (http://www.ar-15.co/wiki/Barack_Obama_presidential_campaign,_2008).[2] (http://www.ar-15.co/#cite_note-washpo-2)
Founded after President Obama's re-election, the group seeks to mobilize supporters in favor of Obama's legislative priorities. OFA is registered as a 501(c)(4) (http://www.ar-15.co/wiki/501(c)_organization#501.28c.29.284.29) organization, which allows it to advocate for legislation but prohibits it from specifically supporting political candidates.[3] (http://www.ar-15.co/#cite_note-reuters-3)

[edit (http://www.ar-15.co/w/index.php?title=Organizing_for_Action&action=edit§ion=1)] History
The formation of Organizing for Action was announced by Chairman [4] (http://www.ar-15.co/#cite_note-WashPo-4) Jim Messina (http://www.ar-15.co/wiki/Jim_Messina_(political_staffer)), who served as Obama's 2012 campaign manager, and First Lady (http://www.ar-15.co/wiki/First_Lady_of_the_United_States) Michelle Obama (http://www.ar-15.co/wiki/Michelle_Obama) on January 18, 2013. White House official Jon Carson (http://www.ar-15.co/w/index.php?title=Jon_Carson&action=edit&redlink=1) left the Obama administration to become the executive director. Campaign senior adviser David Axelrod serves as a consultant.[5] (http://www.ar-15.co/#cite_note-huffpo-5)
Organizing for Action succeeds Organizing for America, which was formed under similar circumstances but operated under the control of the Democratic National Committee (http://www.ar-15.co/wiki/Democratic_National_Committee).[6] (http://www.ar-15.co/#cite_note-latimes-6) In preparation for President Obama's second term, Obama for America was relaunched as a nonprofit group in order to mobilize support behind the president's legislative and political agenda.[2] (http://www.ar-15.co/#cite_note-washpo-2)
[edit (http://www.ar-15.co/w/index.php?title=Organizing_for_Action&action=edit§ion=2)] Organization
Like its predecessor, Organizing for Action will be composed of fifty different state organizations, united by a single national umbrella.
The organization will accept donations from individuals and corporations but not from lobbyists and political action committees. It will maintain offices in both Washington, D.C. (http://www.ar-15.co/wiki/Washington,_D.C.) and Chicago (http://www.ar-15.co/wiki/Chicago).[5] (http://www.ar-15.co/#cite_note-huffpo-5) As a tax exempt 501(c)(4) (http://www.ar-15.co/wiki/501(c)_organization) organization it will seek to harness the energy of the president's re-election campaign for future legislative fights.[6] (http://www.ar-15.co/#cite_note-latimes-6) The group will advocate on key policy issues such as gun control and immigration, train future leaders and devote attention to local issues throughout the United States.[3] (http://www.ar-15.co/#cite_note-reuters-3)

I get that a lot... sometimes I get "looks" and feel compelled to explain- my boss of 15 years is retired Army, a former director was retired Air force and asked me when I was going to cut my hair - ONCE (I think my reply was something to the effect that he wished he could grow his hair as long as mine- he had a new found respect after I had the balls to tell him that)... also funny how he was RIF'd, but I've survived so many layoffs I laugh at them...

OK, I went to this meeting and it was about what I expected. They had pizza donated from Cozella's, salad, sodas and wine, cake for desert. After we all ate the host asked everyone to introduce themselves and why they were attending tonight. Most of the attendees were older persons and retired and there was extreme hostility towards Republicans simply because they were Republicans. Some of these people REALLY have it in for Corey Gardner and want him voted out next election. When it got around to me I told them that I was a Kennedy democrat, stated that in my opinion all of the current crop of politicians in office in DC, no matter the party, were bought and paid for, completely corrupt and danced to strings pulled by puppet masters that manipulated the system for personal gain and that after what went down in the Colorado these last two weeks that most of the Colorado legislature were no better than hacks that took orders from DC, not the people that elected them. I told them I was disgusted with the system as a whole and I was at the meeting tonight to see if was among like minded people that wanted legitimate change for the people or, were there to promote the status quo for their own situations. I was almost immediately interrupted attacked by two women but just as quickly I silenced there attacks by asking them that if I was wrong to point it out and I would gladly stand down. They just stood there quietly and I continued with my angry rant about corruption in government. Other people spoke and stated their opinions and why they were there, no one said anything cross to me. Several of the people said that were born into Republican families and later became democrats, it should come as no surprise that they were from NJ, NY and MA. One young lady that was part of the "team" said she wanted to further discuss my views. I told her I would be happy to talk to them at a later date about change and how best to accomplish changes that were beneficial to all of the people. I kept my mouth shut the rest of the evening.
Then the organizers spoke. These are very young people and are very idealistic, they take their orders from the White House, have no understanding of our history and are very good at pushing the buttons of the older group that was there, mostly by mentioning how the Affordable Health Care Act was so beneficial to them with their existing conditions (by a show of hands) and the 31 million people that are now eligible for free health insurance. They are a grass roots volunteer canvasing and fundraising organization and want to elect democrats with loyalties to the democratic progressive movement. They want to build a organization in NorCO and will work to bring all of the smaller groups (Greeley, Loveland, Ft. Collins and others) together under one central office organizing committee. Immigration reform is the next big thing on the agenda and this will be the focus in the coming months. No details yet.
Before I left I made sure that I was on their mailing and email lists. Everyone was courteous and friendly. One other young lady said she wanted to talk again as what I said at the beginning of the meeting was unexpected and she felt diverse opinion was good for the group. In my opinion these organizers are enemies of the republic and want America changed into a progressive utopia where they are in control for the good of the people. They are deceivers and are extremely well organized in their mission. They are having a grand old time keeping the conservative vote split while concentrating theirs. I have not seen or heard of anything on this scale, on any level really, from the conservative side. I will attend other meetings and report back on what I observe.

I emailed Senator Brophy about the meeting and expressed my observations and thoughts. I offered to work with a conservative organizer in NorCO to try and do something to offset this attack on our freedoms by getting a dedicated group going to fight these people. The bad guys have a plan. they have had this plan for a long time and are working at a national level by getting people to chip away a little at a time. We talk a lot about the creeps in DC but we can't take DC back if we can't retake CO first. This is not a easy thing to do from scratch and I asked Brophy for help to get the ball rolling. I can't do this by myself and will need help from people willing to fight for their rights. I'm old and in some circles old is written off as obsolete but I do not want to leave this world with my daughter a slave to liars, cheats and self serving scum.
I left that meeting last night with a mix of jumbled emotions that ran the gamut; hate, sadness, compassion, anger, helplessness, euphoria and almost 24 hours later I still can;t process all of what I experienced and I can't get it down here just how I feel. I have decided to fight back, even if I do it alone.
Fuck shit fuck shit fuck shit. This is it! If we don't organize and fight these scum we are lost. It is now that we need to do this. If we don't get off our asses now then come the midterm election we will be buried so deep there will be no escape except for violence and death and if it come to that I will be in the vanguard. It doesn't have to come to that outcome if we get going right now. When I am contacted by an organizer I will post on the forum and I pray that there will be some to stand with me and make the sacrifice in time and effort to save ourselves, our families and our state from those that would deny freedom.
We will not get another chance at this. This will be the moment in history that we make for ourselves and our families the future that America stands for.

wctriumph, I applaud and appreciate you going forward and bringing us this valuable intel. I hope that you keep it up and let us know what "they" are up too. I in no way want you to be discouraged in what you feel is the right thing to do. Six years ago I to sat right where your at. I thought to myself we need to do something now! I got involved in my local Town politics, I became a Delegate, I was off the couch. Then came the Tea Party/ 9-12/ Liberty movement. I thought to myself again, we have a pretty good chance to turn things around. I got more involved, helped co-found my local 9-12 group, became a Delegate again, my wife and I and like minded individuals worked our asses off. We worked to bring about real change. On my side of the street we helped get Gardner, Buck, Perry Buck, Sheriff Cook, Sen. Marble and many other good Conservatives in office (scratch gardner from that list). I stood my ground and fought my Town of Windsor on property rights. Taking a big emotional and financial toll on me and my family. It may have been only cows but the implications were bigger than that. When all those supporters were needed, there were only a few. We had financial support to take our case to the Appellate Courts and beyond if need be. We had a ton of lip service for the last 6 years. People saying we support you, were here. When it came time to vote, when it came time to stand at Town Hall meetings, when it came time to be Free, where was everyone? There were a few of us, but not enough. Then some bad shit happens, like this Gun Legislation and now there are thousands screaming " What about my rights?" What about them? Where you there come election time trying to keep these scummbags out of office? Some of you were, but most weren't or they wouldn't be there.
I pray you keep the courage and fortitude to keep fighting them, but it's there game they're playing. It's there rules and they made them so you don't have a chance to win. We play by the rules because it's who we are, they don't. At the end of the day I believe Thomas Jefferson said it best "The tree of Liberty MUST be refreshed with the blood of tyrants and Patriots alike."

Thanks for the encouragement and I know that there will be few if any that will stand with me, everyone has their own daily grind and it is hard to make a moment for something outside the comfort zone. I'll see what Brophy comes up with. I will contact the Tea Baggers, 9/12 and see what they have to say as well. In any case I will continue to attend these OFA meetings and see if I can be a "devil's advocate" at some of them. You are right, they are making the rules and they don't follow the rules they make. I am committed now and a year down the road if it's just me standing up at a town council meeting and voicing the dissenting opinion, I will do it for no other reason than to try and set an example for my daughter so she will better understand personal honor and just what the cost of freedom is. If it comes to the latter, well, I'll stand next to any brave soul that will stand with me.

I'll be there with you at the next one. Maybe we can grab coffee beforehand. Maybe go covert and play off of each other.

wctriumph, Thank you sir for your dedication and example. Even though I'm far away down here in Monument, we lived in Windsor in 2000 when we first moved to CO.
I will use your example to get more involved than just emails, letters and phone calls.

I have more than a couple friends from my college years that have joined this effort in other states. This is what is scary, as wctriumph said they are highly organized, brainwashed with idealism that comes with youth, and have some very keen minds at the top of this pushing it down with clear cut plans and proven techniques.
Beyond that they are the crowd that lives on social media and thrive on getting people to say things that compromise their positions in a very public forum. Religious reference aside, they are Legion, and they are many.

Count me in, too. I need an excuse to visit my son at CSU.

No, those will be personally delivered by unicorns.
No, delivered by purple allicorns...
Well done, I echo your sentiment as I saw some of this first hand during the campaign (had an acquaintance volunteer for the Denver Young Democrumbs in helping Obummer get re-elected), they're bloody organized and motivated. I even thought back then that they were beating us... we're more split between the extreme right (uber religious) and the moderate right than their extreme and moderates.
WC, I would be absolutely, 100% behind anything to help organize against these socialists hell bent on "hope" and "change." I may not be in NoCO, but for a worthy cause I'll drive to GJ if need be! I'm with you on this and will do what is needed to make things happen... Oh and at 28 I'm fairly young and can be a part of that face that proves not all of my generation are a bunch of over privileged, entitled liberals. [Beer]

You guys are great. When i get some more info on the next meeting I will post it here and give you the details. I got a couple of pieces from the meeting and when I go back to work I will see if I can scan and post them.
I sent a message to the state lead of the Tea Party asking to be contacted. We will see where it goes.

wctriumph, for what its worth I wouldn't waste my time with the State Tea Party chair. Just as well off calling up the Repub party and asking for help. If it were me I would contact Sen. Vicki Marble, she's been a Tea Bagger for a while and knows all the players in NOFOCO (No Fuck You)[ROFL1] I think I'm on to something with that. Anyhow, the other people I would contact are Rudy Zitti (We will not Fall) and Tom Buchanan (Loveland 9-12). They've are the boots on the ground and have been engaged with the enemy for years now.
